WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg appeared at Bad Blood last year and got into a confrontation with Gunther. Soon thereafter, it was revealed that Goldberg was set to begin training in anticipation of a final retirement match sometime this year against an opponent rumored to be Gunther, but ultimately TBD. It appears the plans for that retirement match are set to begin shortly.
The WrestleVotes X account is reporting that over the past week, Goldberg's name has been floated around internally within WWE, the first time he's been brought up since Bad Blood. The report added that the Hall of Famer's return to TV appears to be close.
