WWE Has Tons of Wrestlers Whose Contracts Will Expire in 2024; Negotiations Not Yet Underway

-- WWE has a significant number of contracts coming up for expiration next year as a result of signing a number of talent to four-year deals back in 2019 when AEW was ready to launch. In the past, the company had approached impending free agents who they wanted to retain well in advance to negotiate new deals, however, a fightfulselect.com report suggests that the process is very different now, perhaps due to the Endeavor sale.

-- The report notes that numerous talent - including some that are "top stars" have not yet been approached for contract extension talks even though their deals have mere months left on it; the only time WWE has engaged in discussions is when talent approached management looking for a raise. Many of these wrestlers assumed that talks weren't happening as WWE was getting ready to sell but now that that is complete, those same people expected talks to already have begun. There is great interest from talent around what the offers will be like under the new company, specifically whether the offers will be better, worse or about the same as previous negotiations.
