-- A report from pwinsider.com notes that WWE continues to enact cost-cutting measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic. A “number of executives and officials” were informed within the last 48 hours that their play would be “reduced” moving forward as the company attempts to slash costs in response to the pandemic. The company outlined to investors last month that they would be reducing compensation, decreasing operating expenses, cutting talent and staffing and deferring expenses related to the new WWE headquarters for at least six months.
-- Many of these moves have already happened and with respect to letting people go, the reductions have impacted almost every department along with the wrestlers. Many producers, agents and employees were actually furloughed, leaving the possibility open that they would be brought back when business goes back to normal, with some individuals being told July.
