A big announcement was made back in March that WWE and Bit Fry have reached a new licensing agreement that will see top WWE Superstars as well as Legends be a part of the roster for the “Ultimate Rivals: The Court” video game. The first two top Superstars that were included to be a part of the roster are WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks. It was also revealed that 6 more Superstars will be named in the coming months.
An update was recently provided that indicated that WWE legend The Rock is the newest Star of the WWE roster to be added to the game. WWE Superstars Bayley and Becky Lynch have also been added to the WWE roster in the game and three more WWE Superstars will be announced in the coming weeks.
The WWE Superstars that have been announced so far will be joining a roster of over 140 athletes from the NBA, the MLB, the NHL and the NFL, to compete with or against each other in three-on-three arcade style basketball (The Court) or hockey (The Rink) matchup.
Athletes like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, De’Aaron Fox, Kawhi Leonard, Zion Williamson, James Harden, Candace Parker, Diana Taurasi, Elena Delle Donne, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Alex Morgan, Alex Ovechkin, Juju Smith-Schuster and Wayne Gretzky have also been added to the game.
The game will reportedly be released first on Apple Arcade sometime later this year and then on Steam and consoles at a later date.
