WWE Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for 10/19/2020

For those of you who want just the quick results and don't want the details of matches, this is a quick recap of tonight's season premiere of Monday Night Raw. There are spoilers for tonight's show below.

  • Alexa Bliss opened the show in the ring, red flood lights filling the arena, as she announced the Fiend. Retribution hit the ring and surrounded Bliss & the Fiend, but the creepy ones remained motionless. The lights went out and when the lights returned, Bliss & Fiend were gone
  • The Hurt Business hit the ring next, taking out Retribution prior to their match.
  • The Hurt Business defeated Retribution by submission in an eight-man tag match. The Fiend attacked and wrecked Retribution immediately afterwards.
  • AJ Styles defeated Matt Riddle with the Styles Clash. 7'3" Nigerian athlete Jordan Omogbehin escorted AJ Styles to the ring and stood silently at ringside, serving as Styles' personal bodyguard
  • Asuka retained her Raw Women's Championship, defeating Lana.
  • Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler retained their Women's Tag Team Championship in a Fatal 4-Way against Mandy Rose & Dana Brooks, the Riott Squad, and Lacey Evans & Peyton Royce.
  • Kofi Kingston defeated Sheamus in singles' competition. The New Day declared they'll "hold down" both brands and haven't split--they're just taking over both shows.
  • Mustafa Ali admitted to being the Smackdown Hacker.
  • The Miz & Morrison took on Tucker & El Gran Gordo (Otis in pink Luchadore tights...seriously) in a losing effort that saw Tucker & El Gran Gordo victorious in thier "first" match together.
  • Firefly Fun House debuted on Raw; Alexa Bliss joined Bray in it.
  • Braun Strowman defeated Keith Lee in the main event. Both men exchanged low blows during and after the match.
  • Randy Orton ended the show by addressing the WWE Universe and Drew. Both men faced off in the lowered Cell to end the program.
