WWE Money in the Bank Notes: Taping Details, Ladder Matches, Mysterio/Black Bumps

-- Last night's men's and women's Money in the Bank ladder matches were actually taped almost a month ago, on April 15, in a taping that took almost the entire day, lasting well into the evening. PWInsider.com reports that the material was shot similar to a TV show or a movie with multiple camera angles shot one at once and in sequence and then post-produced. WWE also did some "pick-up shots" to add to the final product.

-- As noted in the past, with the men's match taped on 4/15, AJ Styles was always booked to compete and the Apollo Crews "injury" was simply a front to get him into the action. With Styles coming off the Bone Yard match at WrestleMania, WWE kept him off of TV as long as possible before inserting him into the MITB match.

-- The actual ladder matches were not shot/taped in sequence and the wrestlers did not "fight their way up" the building as implied. Instead, PWInsider suggests the match was taped in the following locations in this order: the lobby, first floor (gym), third floor, back to the second floor, fourth floor (Vince McMahon's office), back to the second floor again, then back to the fourth floor before finishing at the roof of the building.

-- Rey Mysterio and Aleister Black took bumps that gave the impression that they had been tossed off the roof of the building. As expected, the two were actually thrown into an area of the building that had no lights and had a crash pad set up on top of rows of cardboard boxes.
