After nearly a one-year layoff recovering from complications of a finger injury, Bianca Belair may finally be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Beair underwent surgery this week to fix up the finger/hand injury that she initially suffered at WrestleMania 41 last April. At the time, Belair was supposed to only be sidelined 2-3 months and back for SummerSlam, but the recovery did not go as planned and she hasn't made it back to the ring to date. After this recent surgery though, Belair has begun physical therapy and is hopeful that the worst is behind her.
In an Instagram post, she stated the following while also posting some photos of her on surgery day including a couple graphic closeups of her finger.
"10 months post injury, 8 months of rehab, 5 Dr’s Later…And we are FINALLY here. Now I can finally start to put this behind me. Thank you so much Dr. Desai for hearing me and fixing me!
"Fingers and JOINTS are complicated, frustrating, confusing, essential… if you don’t get it… consider yourself lucky and I hope you never have to find out. Maybe one day I’ll go into detail but it’s a lot. Thank you to those who have sent so much love my way and continue to."
Belair remains sidelined indefinitely with no concrete indication of when she might be back in action.
