WWE News: Bill Goldberg Says He Has Approved Some Creative For His Return; Rumors On When & Where He Will Wrestle

WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg continues to train for one last "retirement match" later this year and while the date and location haven't been officially announced, the pieces have begun falling into place on those details.

Speaking to MySanAntonio this week, Goldberg revealed that he has approved creative that will lead to his return and the match and even hinted that the location would be somewhere in "the south" without divulging the exact timing.

While that would seem to exclude SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium (not a south location), the early word is that it will be in Atlanta, Georgia which would make a ton of sense considering his history with that city dating back to his time with WCW as well as it being the city he calls his hometown. Goldberg also played both college and professional football in the state.

Following this weekend's event, WWE's next Saturday Night's Main Event is scheduled for July 12 and earlier reports indicated that it would be held in Atlanta so that would be a very good guess on where we will see Goldberg's retirement match. WWE will be running that SNME directly against AEW's All In.
