WWE News: Bronson Reed To Undergo Surgery For Torn Biceps

WWE's Bronson Reed suffered an injury during this week's Monday Night Raw that is going to sideline him for a while.

Reed suffered a torn biceps during a match in which he was supposed to win, leading to an impromptu finish. Now, PWInsider reports that Reed was headed to Birmingham, AL immediately after Raw and is set to undergo surgery and quite possibly have already gone under the knife.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer not only confirmed that Reed was supposed to win the match but pinpointed that the injury took place during the "running sliding lariat" when attempting to break up a pin attempt.

Since Reed was originally set to win the match, WWE obviously had him figured into Elimination Chamber plans and most likely WrestleMania 42 too as well and those plans will now have to be reworked but there is no definitive timetable on how long he will be sidelined but typically an athlete would be out of action for around six months.
