WWE News: Drew Gulak Update, Plexiglass Usage at Events, Taping Schedule

-- In a followup to a previous story, Drew Gulak has indeed signed a new contract with WWE. This would explain not only his presence at Smackdown later this week, but also why WWE moved his profile back to Smackdown from the Alumni section.

-- WWE used plexiglass at last night's Raw for the first time as a way to separate the action in the ring from the talent that was standing around as the audience. Pwinsider.com reports that there has been talk backstage of using the plexiglass at all events moving forward, even when actual fans return for TVs and PPVs. This would enable the company to keep an "invisible barrier" between the wrestlers and those in attendance.

-- WWE held another grueling set of TV tapings yesterday with another one on tap for today. On Monday, not only was the night's Raw episode taped, but the company also filmed Friday Night Smackdown, 205 Live and Main Event. The entire taping was said to take almost 10 hours. Today, WWE will tape next week's shows - Raw, Smackdown, 205 Live and Main Event - in what is expected to be another long day.

-- Everyone who attended the tapings yesterday - from wrestlers to officials to talent at ringside to production crew - had their temperature checked before entering the Performance Center and reportedly once again later in the day.
