-- Below are various news and notes coming out of Monday's WWE Raw as reported by fightfulselect.com:
- CM Punk, who shared that he would be taking a bit of a hiatus from WWE, will not traveling to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel next month. That would likely explain his upcoming absence now that his program with Drew McIntyre appears over. The Punk promo on Raw was written by Alexandra Williams.
- With Raw scaling down to two hours this week and continuing with that for the rest of the year, there were some "growing pains" with the switch from three hours but the actual structuring of the show wasn't difficult as WWE has been running two hours Smackdowns for the last 25 years.
- There was some internal frustration with the booking of the women's match, specifically a lack of direction for the talent involved and a commercial that ended up running for much of the duration of the match.
- WWE taped a second episode of Raw after the live show (and it will air next week) and the company has a few more double tapings planned over the course of the next little while due to scheduled international events.
- WWE Raw had some adjustments made to the show due to the recent hurricanes affecting travel.
- Bill Goldberg, who is being teased to making at least another appearance or possibly even a match with WWE, was not backstage at Raw.
- In a bit of a surprise, Cody Rhodes did not lead merchandise sales in Atlanta but did finish second. The first spot went to general "WWE, Bad Blood" merchandise that would include title belts.
