After recently working the AAA Rey de Reyes show this past weekend, WWE star Santos Escobar is scheduled for surgery.
Fightful Select reports that Escobar wrestled at the AAA show already dealing with a triceps injury and unfortunately for him, the situation worsened during the course of the match and ultimately led to the triceps tearing and thus, requiring surgery to repair.
Escobar initially injured the triceps during an NXT house show while working with Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. during the weekend of the Royal Rumble at the end of January. At the time, a diagnosis revealed an issue with the triceps but it was not believed to have been torn. He will be sidelined indefinitely.
