WWE News: Smackdown Going Back To Two Hours; Date Of Final Three-Hour Episode Revealed

The future show length of WWE Friday Night Smackdown has been in the news quite a bit the last week or so with a first inaccurate report from Dave Meltzer indicating that the show would stay at three hours for the foreseeable future before a second report suggested that the USA Network has planned for a new series to fill the time slot starting in August at 10 PM ET which is when Smackdown's third hour airs. Now we have even more information.

WWE Smackdown will now be reverting to two hours much earlier, with the final three-hour episode scheduled for the last week of June. That means that beginning July 4, Smackdown will be back to two hours. The third hour will have USA air "Resident Alien" for about a month before the new series "The Rainmaker" is expected to take over in the middle of August.
