WWE News: Tribute to the Troops, Original Plans for Tag Team Title Match at TLC

-- The original plans for the Smackdown tag team title match at Sunday's TLC PPV was to pit Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler against the champions, The New Day. However, with Roode suspended for violating WWE's Wellness Policy, the match was cancelled and Roode was written out of TV temporarily by being attacked by Roman Reigns, according to Wrestling Observer Radio. WWE then moved forward by having The Revival take Roode & Ziggler's spot in the title match against The New Day.

-- WWE taped their annual "Tribute to the Troops" special last week but according to pwinsider.com, there are no plans for The USA Network to air the show, which if true would be the first time that the show won't be airing on TV. WWE of course has the option to stream it at any time on the network, however, there hasn't been any discussion of doing that either. Check out WWE Tribute To The Troops 2019 photos here. This year's show was taped on 12/6 and included the following matches:

** Erik Rowan vs. Seth Rollins in a Boot Camp Match.

** The Kabuki Warriors vs. Sarah Logan & Natalya.

** Kevin Owens & Humberto Carrillo vs, Drew McIntyre & Andrade.
