-- WWE released an injury update on Rhea Ripley yesterday, noting that she suffered a fractured orbital bone and would be sidelined indefinitely. The company ran an angle on NXT where Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were implied to have attacked Ripley in a parking lot, leaving her bloodied. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that the spot was to effectively write her out of storylines for the time being and that the actual injury occurred a week earlier on Raw.
-- PWInsider.com speculated that the belief backstage is that Ripley likely broke her orbital bone on the 10/21 Raw after a head-butt spot when Rhea confronted Rodriguez and Morgan. On the following week's (10/28), Ripley did not appear. The angle to take her out of action on NXT was a late edition to the show and was filmed there so that Ripley didn't have to fly to do it. She has been pulled from all events for the time being, including a Monday Night Raw taping in Saudi Arabia this weekend but she was not scheduled for Crown Jewel. There is no word on how long she will be out of action.
