WWE Notes: Braun Strowman Update, Injured Star Set to Return, Drew McIntyre's Status

-- Braun Strowman underwent neck fusion surgery last week at the Andrew Sports Medicine Clinic in Birmingham. Strowman had his C4 and C5 vertebrae fused and while there has been no timetable for his return, the Observer Newsletter noted that these type of surgeries usually end up needing just over a year of rehab and recovery.

-- PWInsider.com is reporting that Tommaso Ciampa, who was seen backstage at WWE Monday Night Raw last month, is expected back in action within the next few weeks, perhaps in July. He is being teased as joining Johnny Gargano's stable of wrestlers. Ciampa has been sidelined since October 2022 after undergoing hip surgery.

-- Despite being publicly advertised by WWE as appearing on behalf of them for the Special Olympics in Germany, there has been no movement on the Drew McIntyre front. As noted, WWE wants him back in time for next month's Money in the Bank in London, but McIntyre is only interested in returning if he is placed into meaningful storylines.
