WWE NXT 2.0 Quick Recap for February 22, 2022

Matches Tonight: Seven (approx. 48 minutes)
  • Singles Match: LA Knight vs Grayson Waller w/ Sanga. Waller won after Sanga caused a distraction. 8:12-8:22pm EST.
  • 2022 Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, First Round Match: Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray vs Amari Miller & Lash Legend. Shirai picked up the win in a short match, advancing to the Semi-Finals. 8:33-8:36pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Dante Chen vs Duke Hudson. Shorter match than the time stamp would lead you to believe. Chen dominated with an aggressive offensive stretch, but Hudson weathered through it and picked up the win with a Razor's Edge/Outsider's Edge/Edging Hogan. 8:42-8:47pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Cameron Grimes vs Trick Williams. Grimes picked up the win after a solid match from both men. 9:00-9:05pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Nikita Lyons vs Kayla Inlay. Lyons won the short, semi-squash match. 9:16-9:19pm EST.
  • 2022 Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, First Round Match: KC2 vs the Diamond Mine. Ivy Nile and newcomer Tatum Paxley represent the Diamond Mine in the women's tag division. Paxley did good in her debut but KC2 picked up the win in short fashion. After the match, Ivy Nile choked out and beat Tatum until Roderick Strong got her to back down. 9:36-9:39pm EST.
  • NXT Championship Number One Contenders Main Event Match: Dolph Ziggler vs Tommaso Ciampa. Dolph Ziggler made his NXT in-ring debut in this match, technically. Great match that saw Ziggler pick up the win after Robert Roode hit an unsuspecting Ciampa with a video camera. 9:51-10:08pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Next Week on NXT: Carmelo Hayes defends against Pete Dunne, Bron Breakker & Tommasi Ciampa vs Raw's Dirty Dawgs.
  • Stupid is as Briggs & Jensen Does: Several more stupid segments aired, playing up Southern stereotypes and tropes as well as walking a very, very thin line that bordered a bad comment. Optics, WWE, c'mon man.
