WWE NXT Beats AEW Dynamite In Last Night's Head-To-Head Ratings Battle

With WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite airing not only on the same night, but head-to-head in what is now a rare occasion, it was NXT that came out with a victory based on figures released by Nielsen earlier today.

NXT, which was themed "Showdown" and featured TNA stars, averaged 625,000 viewers - about a 10% week-over-week increase.

Dynamite meanwhile, airing on a foreign night, averaged just over half that audience - 321,000 viewers - down over 30% from the previous week. It is technically the lowest audience in the history of the series.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT won the battle again, drawing a 0.12 rating while Dynamite checked in at a 0.07 rating, also a record low.

It should be noted that all these figures come with some caveats. Starting in October, Nielsen has changed their methodology in how they compute audience figures and wrestling shows in general have been hit incredibly hard. For Dynamite, the Nielsen numbers do not include any fans streaming along on HBO Max.
