WWE NXT Quick Recap (11/25/2020)

WWE NXT Quick Recap for 11/25/2020

For those of you who want just the quick results and don't want the details of matches, this is a quick recap of tonight's show. There are spoilers for tonight's show below. The full results can be found right here. Don't forget, NXT TakeOver: WarGames is only two weeks away!

  • Candice LeRae defeated Ember Moon with the Wicked Stepsiter. During the match, Team LeRae--Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez, and Indi Hartwell (temporarily)--all stood ringside to intimidate Moon. After the match, Toni Storm ran down to make the save...before viciously attacking Ember Moon.
  • The Women's WarGames match will feature Team LeRae (Candice LeRae, Toni Storm, Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez) versus Team Blackheart, whom we believe to consist of Shotzi Blackheart, presumably Ember Moon, Io Shirai & Rhea Ripley after all three were ganged up by Team LeRae.
  • The Undisputed Era cut a promo promising to remind everyone who they are at WarGames. Per them and Vic Joseph later in the night, WarGames is a match they've never lost*. They'll be taking on the Kings of the Ring, presumably being Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.
  • Kushida defeated Timothy Thatcher with the Hoverboard Lock submission. Ciampa sat on a steel chair on the ramp, watching the match and distracting Thatcher. Ciampa wants a match with Thatcher and apparently is going to piss him off into accepting Ciampa's challenge.
  • On a special NXT edition of the Kevin Owens Show, William Regal set a triple-threat match for the North American Championship at TakeOver WarGames in two weeks. Leon Ruff(c) will defend against Damian Priest and Johnny Gargano.
  • Cameron Grimes defeated Jake Atlas in a short match. Post match, Dexter Lumis showed up with a leather strap--indicating he wants a strap match against Grimes.
  • Rhea Ripley addressed her career and promised she wasn't going anywhere. She ended up being beaten down by Team LeRae (LeRae, Kai, Gonzalez & Storm) with an unconscious Io Shirai at the top of the ramp. Shirai was taken out off-camera by Team LeRae.
  • In our main event ladder match, Pete Dunne, with the assistance of a masked man, defeated Kyle O'Reilly. Team McAfee/Kings of the Ring have the WarGames Advantage.

* Fact Checker: Despite two mentions of it in the broadcast, this is untrue. The Undisputed Era have participated in all four WarGames matches to date--including this year--but only one the first match in 2017, that saw them battle two teams (SAnitY, AoP+Roderick Strong). In 2018, they lost to the team of Ricochet, Pete Dunne & the War Riaders; in 2019, they lost to Team Ciampa (Tommaso Ciampa, Domenic Dijakovic, Keith Lee and Kevin Owens).
This year has been hard for all of us. Many of us have experienced a lot of loss. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and while it may be hard to find things to be thankful for, I wish you all the best possible Thanksgiving you can have. I, personally, am thankful to be able to do something I love and report play by play for you. I'm also thankful for each and every one of you, including the haters. You all are why we do what we do. You're our #Rajahmaniacs! Y'all have a great Thanksgiving and stay safe out there. See you here Friday night for Smackdown!
