For several months now, WWE has allowed a limited number of fans to attend the NXT television show on a weekly basis, but now it looks like the company may be allowing more fans to attend the upcoming TV shows as an email was recently sent to fans noting that they will have a “special opportunity” at NXT TV tapings, beginning with the May 18th episode.
It was indicated in the email that COVID-19 testing is now being held on-site the night of the event, free of charge and that all fans will have to complete their COVID-19 testing on-site, whether or not they have had the vaccine. It was also mentioned on the email that there is no longer the requirement to receive a COVID-19 test on the day before the taping.
There's no word yet on if this means that more fans will fill up the arena each week or they are just offering other fans to attend the tapings aside from those who have already attended the tapings, but updates will be provided as it becomes available. Aside from the WWE previously allowing limited fans to attend the tapings, there have also been virtual fans on the LED screens, much like for WWE RAW or WWE SmackDown at the Thunderdome.

Looks like #WWE may be starting to open up its #WWENXT tapings to more fans. This is the first time I've ever gotten an email like this, having gone to events before.
COVID testing will now be done on-site for free, regardless of vaccination status. Seems like a safe route. pic.twitter.com/puPQx4tUzH— Jon Alba (@JonAlba) May 12, 2021
Just for clarity, I don't know if this means more people in the building or not. Just offering the opportunity to more fans. #WWE #WWENXT
