WWE NXT Results (03/17/21): Capitol Wrestling Center

Show Opening

We start with the WWE Then... Now... FOREVER!! opening sequence that plays us into the official opening for tonight's edition of WWE NXT on the USA Network as the clock strikes 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) and we enter the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida to get the show officially underway with a video package highlighting the events from "Last Week's WWE NXT!

Video Package - (Last Week's Edition of NXT Highlighted)

We are sent into the video package highlighting the good, the bad, and the unforgettable segments during "Last Week's NXT" including (but not limited to) the main event of last week's show with former Undisputed Era member Adam Cole vs. NXT Champion Finn Balor where Balor took the victory after delivering a 1916 and Coup de Grace for the three count pin and win!

Next we see the events that followed the main event, to close the show last week including Karrion Kross's entrance to the ring where Balor asks Kross "what took so long?"

In-Arena Welcome

The video package comes to an end as we head into tonight's edition of WWE NXT airing on the USA Network LIVE from the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. We are welcomed by Vic Joseph on commentary as he sits at the announcer's table at ringside. Wade Barrett and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix are also sitting alongside Joseph as the crowd pops for tonight's action-packed edition of WWE NXT!!

In-Ring - WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor

Following the commentary team welcome to tonight's edition of WWE NXT, we immediately head to the ring as the entrance theme sounds for our current NXT Champion, The Prince Finn Balor! Balor makes his way to the stage and then proceeds to make his way down the ramp, entering the ring. Balor begins speaking as he states that today is St. Patrick's Day 2021 and he's still champion... (well, there are some obvious facts for us, aye?)

Balor then gives a quick run down of competitors that he has reigned victorious over in recent months. Balor then pauses as he states there's only ONE left... Karrion Kross. The Prince continues on to state that he has been patiently yet anxiously awaiting this match and at the next pay-per-view event titled, NXT “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” 2021 Karrion Kross's time is up.

Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett Bourdeux) Joins Finn Balor In-Ring

At the sound of his name, or perhaps the mention of "time" (tick-tock... eh?), the entrance theme for Karrion Kross sounds as Kross appears at the top of the stage, accompanied by his girlfriend, Scarlett Bourdeux. Karrion and Scarlett quickly make their way down the ramp, skipping their normal smoke and mirrors (literally) entrance with lip syncing and choreographed movements, instead they simply walk down the ramp and enter the ring where they stand before the NXT Champion, Finn Balor.
Kross just stands in the center of the ring, glaring at Balor as Scarlett begins to speak.

To start the conversation off, Karrion looks to Finn as he states "this entire situation was never going to happen..." as he continues on to state that they both have their own situations to handle in NXT and they had already settled their personal differences prior to that. Kross then states, "...and now it's just us two, one-on-one, no one else involved." Kross continues, "Otherwise this confrontation is meaningless because here in NXT, the fans need to know who the real champion is around here."

Kross then reiterates that he and Balor both need to know it as well, in fact, the entire world needs to know who the real champion is between the two of them! At this point Finn responds to Karrion as he says that everyone wants to be champion... until the REAL champ shows up. Balor continues on by offering a backhanded compliment as he states that Kross looks AND talks like a champion... but the problem is, Balor is the real champion and Kross just simply doesn’t have what it takes to beat Balor in a main event match-up.

In response to the dangerous choice of words by Balor, Kross wisely chooses his next response as he informs Balor in a monotone voice... "I promise you Balor, you will know exactly what it feels like when I squeeze the oxygen out of your skull and then choke him out." Not seeming to be fazed by the last statement by Kross. Finn steps forwards towards Karrion at this point and says in the same tone to Kross, that HE will know what it feels like to choke, in the main event at Takeover.

Both Kross and Balor proceed to stare one another down in the center of the ring as Scarlett pipes in stating that "she's already seen this" in her Tarot cards. Scarlett continues on to elaborate on her "premonition" that she saw "this... right here... two champions, both draped in gold, the world in awe, it all happens for a reason." Scarlett just looks at both men in the ring, soaking up the strange Deja vu feeling.

Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan Interrupt

Suddenly we see the current NXT Tag Team Champions Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan as they quickly make their way to the stage as their music hits the speakers in the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center. Burch and Lorcan begin to make their way down the ramp towards the ring where they waste no time as they begin trash talking those in-ring. They go on about how Balor should be facing "the best technical wrestler ever", Pete Dunne. In response to this, the crowd immediately begins to "Boo" the tag-team champions.

Burch and Lorcan continue on, as they reiterate that they know Pete Dunne can beat Finn Balor... in fact, they also know that Pete Dunne can defeat Karrion Kross!! They state that sooner or later, Dunne will become the new reigning NXT Champion. Scarlett cleverly begins speaking directly to the current tag-team champs as she states there are moments in time, just like this one they're in right now... that lead us to an inevitable future.

Scarlett continues on, there are specific moments just like now, where the likes of Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan can put their titles on the line... against the likes of Karrion Kross and Finn Balor. In response to her suggestion, the crowd immediately POPS! On that note, Bourdeux takes her leave from the ring, approaching both Lorcan and Burch who are standing at ringside, watching Scarlett's every move. Scarlett steps a bit closer and begins to touch them lightly, sensually teasing them to hype them up with confidence. Scarlett then states, "You two wouldn't STAND for the word 'coward' being associated with you..."

Danny Burch immediately responds, stating Scarlett is correct in her assessment. Burch continues on to state that they're the current champions, and tonight... they will defend their titles against Karrion Kross and Finn Balor! (Good idea Burch, glad ya thought of it!) Kross just simply watches Scarlett, as well as the NXT Tag-Team Champs, meanwhile Balor smiles. At this point we see Burch and Lorcan walk backwards up the ramp, still keeping their eyes on Scarlett. The crowd begins to chant, “NXT!”

Scarlett states, "You can’t change fate," as Karrion steps up to her side at this point as they're both standing together at ringside, Balor still in the ring looking on. We hear Kross’ music begin to play over the speakers in the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center as the two make their way up the ramp. The clock is ticking until their match up tonight for the title... TICK TOCK!

Quick Announcement

As the lengthy segment finally comes to an end, we return to the announcer's table where Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix, and Wade Barrett discuss Scarlett's clever trickery and twist of words to get the match-up this evening. They then shift topics as they give a quick run-down of tonight's card before we head back to the ring for the next match of the evening.

Dexter Lumis Entrance

As the camera zooms towards the stage, we get the ominous and somber sounding entrance theme music of the ever-strange and dangerously quiet Dexter Lumis as he Lumis makes his way to the stage. Lumis quickly scurries down the ramp, slithering into the ring per his usual creepy entrance. Lumis then crawls/glides across the ring on his elbows and stomach towards the camera to complete the freaky entrance we have grown accustom to. As Lumis stands waiting on his opponent inside the ring, we head backstage where we see We see Austin Theory.

Backstage - Austin Theory and Johnny Gargano

As the camera switches to backstage, we see Austin Theory who is set for the next match with Dexter Lumis who is already standing and waiting inside the ring. Theory is having a conversation with NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano and his wife, Candice LeRae. They are both at home. We then see Indi Hartwell enter into the frame as it appears she is with them. Gargano informs Theory that he sent him some new ring gear specifically for tonight's match-up (which is with Dexter Lumis).

Gargano states that it is time for Theory to "face his fears by himself". Theory looks nervous but ready as The Way members begin to hype him up, stating "YOU GOT THIS!"

At this point we shift back over to the camera at ringside where Dexter Lumis is standing at the ropes... watching... waiting... as Austin Theory's entrance theme sounds over the speakers in the arena. Theory makes his way from the top of the stage, down the ramp as fans "BOO!" We catch our first glimpse of the gifted ring gear from The Way's Johnny Gargano which is similar to the X-Men inspired ring attire that Johnny Wrestling recently sported to the ring.

With both competitors inside the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and our next match up of the evening is officially underway! To start things off, we see Theory head in for the offense on Lumis! Theory tosses Lumis out to the floor in front of the announcers, slamming his face into the table several times as we head to commercial break!

As Theory fought back during the break and turned it around, hitting a big suplex in the middle of the ring. We come back and Theory hits a big fall-away slam for a close 2 count. Lumis kicks out and goes right into his Silence submission but Theory kicks away. Theory scoops Lumis and slams him in the middle of the ring. Theory kneels down and talks some trash, then drops a big elbow for a 2 count.

The announcers confirm Kross and Balor vs. Lorcan and Burch for the NXT Tag Team Titles tonight. Lumis counters a move and they tangle. Lumis catches Theory with a big Spinebuster in mid-air. Fans chant for Lumis as he makes a comeback. Lumis with a big uppercut and corner clothesline, then a bulldog. Lumis ducks a shot and slams Theory again. Lumis kips up and drops another big elbow for a 2 count. Theory counters a suplex and rolls Lumis for 2. Lumis with a big uppercut in mid-air. Lumis with a slingshot suplex using the top rope. Lumis goes to the top but has to roll through as Theory moves.

Lumis crawls to Theory but Theory isn’t afraid as he rocks Lumis. Theory with a Ushigoroshi for another close 2 count. Fans chant “Lumis!” now. Theory looks to capitalize but Lumis powers out. They trade strikes. Lumis with a big clothesline in the middle of the ring. Fans rally for Lumis again. He offers his hand to help Theory up but Theory isn’t sure of it, bringing up how Lumis said bad things about him. He lets Lumis help him to his feet anyway.

Theory stares at Lumis and then hugs him. Theory knew Lumis never said those things. Lumis turns and goes for Silence but Theory fights him off. Theory says Gargano was right, Lumis is not The Way. Lumis counters the ATL and drops Theory with the sideslam. Lumis applies the Silence submission now and Theory fades out for the win.

Winner: Dexter Lumis

After the match

Lumis sits up and stares out as the music hits.

Backstage Interview Tommaso Ciampa

We head backstage where we see NXT Interviewer and Backstage Correspondent, McKenzie Mitchell, as she stands in wait for the NXT General Manager, William Regal. Mitchell is trying to get a statement regarding tonight's big tag team main event.

Tommaso Ciampa Walks Up

As William Regal finishes answering Mitchell's question, suddenly we see Tommaso Ciampa walk up right on cue as he informs her that Timothy isn’t here just yet, (because he figures Imperium didn’t like his answer last week.) Ciampa then requests a favor of Mitchell. He asks her to go look around the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center arena to find Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner. Ciampa continues on to state he only wants to ask them if they’ve seen Alexander Wolfe lately. (He informs Mitchell that he could beat on the fact they'd say "no")

He finishes his request list by stating that the last thing he wants her to do, is tell them "Later tonight, when the bell rings, only one of you will be left standing. "Ciampa informs her "that's how they'll know they messed up." With that, Ciampa takes his leave and walks in the opposite direction. He then tells her to tell them that later tonight when the bell rings, only one will be left standing and they will know they messed up. Ciampa walks off.

Backstage - Adam Cole

As we prepare to head to the commercial break, we see former Undisputed Era member Adam Cole walking the hall backstage. We will hear from Cole after the commercial break!

In-Ring - Adam Cole

As we return from the commercial break, we see that the former Undisputed Era front man, Adam Cole, is already standing inside the ring, prepared to make a statement of some sort. Cole starts off by stating in a very matter of fact way that his former friend, and Undisputed Era teammate, Kyle O'Reilly made the BIGGEST mistake of his career/life when he interjected in Cole's match and ultimately cost him the NXT Title during last week's match.

Cole continues on as he states that before the events that occurred last week, he wasn't specifically mad at Kyle O'Reilly. He says before last week he wasn’t really mad at O'Reilly, he just didn't really need him anymore. Cole then points out how O'Reilly is jealous of him, and that O'Reilly wishes he was as successful as Cole and that bothers him.

At this point, Adam Cole congratulates Kyle O'Reilly on signing his own death warrant, which sends the fans in the audience into a "Booooo!!" chant in response. Cole then adds, "I don't give a DAMN if O’Reilly is medically cleared or not..." then finishes by saying that's because he’s not leaving until he comes out so they can finish this once and for all.

NXT General Manager William Regal Joins Adam Cole In-Ring

At this point we get the NXT General Manager, William Regal, to make his way out where he then states due to last week's altercation, O’Reilly will be out for even longer than originally anticipated as O'Reilly once again injured his neck even further and was injured in his neck once again again. Regal then turns to Adam Cole and state that he PROMISES that Kyle O'Reilly is NOT in the building tonight due to the fact that he's banned from the building.

Kyle O'Reilly Appears On The Jumbo-Tron

Suddenly, right on cue, we see Kyle O’Reilly appear at the top of the stage on the jumbotron as he interrupts the conversation between NXT General Manager William Regal and former-Undisputed Era front-man, Adam Cole.

O'Reilly makes a short and sweet statement that he will be back... soon. O'Reilly continues on to state that he finds it funny that Adam was so visibly angered and worked up over his losing during the title match last week. Kyle is a patient guy but when it comes to Cole, he can’t wait, for anything. O'Reilly continues on to inform Cole that he will NOT rest, until he ends Cole.... the same way that Cole attempted to end O'Reilly's. The only difference is that O'Reilly will SUCCEED!

At this point O'Reilly continues on about how he and Cole once had what he believed to be an unbreakable bond, a friendship that lasted over 11 years. Kyle knows where Cole lives, hangs out and buys his video games, but he’s not sure what he will have to do, but he’s willing to do it. Cole interrupts as he states, "That sounds like a threat..." to which O'Reilly responded just as fast, "... because it is." and then Kyle disappears from the screen just as quickly as he appeared.

Back inside the ring, it's just Adam Cole and William Regal once again as Cole insists that Regal listen to him. We see Adam Cole storm off to the back mumbling something about finding O'Reilly first, as fans boo.

Video Package - NXT Women's Tag-Team Titles Match "Last Week"

Next we head into a video package that highlight's "Last Week's" airing of WWE NXT and the match that took place earning the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship for Blackheart and Moon!

Backstage Interview - NXT Women's Tag-Team Champions Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart

At this point, we see the video come to an end as the NEW NXT Women's Tag-Team Champions Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart are standing backstage with McKenzie Mitchell as they talk about the "big win". As they're talking about their celebration following the match, suddenly out of nowhere Stone, Jessi Kamea, and Aliyah (representing the Robert Stone Brand) interrupt Blackheart and Moon as they begin to talk trash, eventually asking for a match against the new champs. Moon and Blackheart accept without hesitation.

Parking Lot

Next, we see a camera that is pointing at the back parking lot of the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, and we see a red mustang entering the parking lot, and who else other than NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin from NXT UK steps out of the car?! On THAT note, we head to commercial break!

Legado del Fantasma vs. Breezango

As we return from the commercial break, we return to the ring for the next match up of the evening set to be a Non-Title NXT Tag-Team Match-Up between Breezango and Legado del Fantasma. Out first comes Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza along with the current NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Santos Escobar -- all three representing Legado del Fantasma. The three members of LDF make their way down the ramp and enter the ring where they await their opponents for tonight's match-up. Out next comes Tyler Breeze and Fandango representing Breezango! The members of Breezango make their way down the ramp and into the ring with awaiting opponents Legado del Fantasma.

The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and our next match up is officially underway! To start things off, Fandango and Mendoza are the first legal men in for their respective tag-teams as Fandango Chops Away at Mendoza to work him over. Mendoza begins attempting to make his way out of the defensive position as he begins to fight back when suddenly he is lifted and then dropped Face-First on the canvas! We see Wilde make a run at Fandango to no avail as he immediately DROPS Wilde inside the ring! Next we witness Fandango lift Mendoza and proceed to drop him on the outside of the top rope, causing Mendoza to land on the floor at ringside. At this point, in comes Tyler Breeze for a quick double team action that results in a cover. Unfortunately LDF successfully kicks out at the two, and the match continues!

Breeze and Mendoza go back and forth as both look to gain significant control of the match, to no avail as they seem to be striking and attempting submissions fairly evenly to continue. Mendoza nails a Big Kick to the face and in comes Wilde off a tag! Immediately in the ring, Wilde handles business as he takes control of Breeze and hits a Low Crossbody for yet another cover. Again a kick out at two to continue the match as Wilde looks to hit a Splash in the corner but instead runs into a Big Boot! Breeze and Wilde go back and forth Wilde works Fandango over and talks some trash now. Wilde mocks Fandango and grounds him to boos now. Wilde takes it to the corner and in comes Mendoza. Mendoza goes to work on Fandango as Escobar watches. Fandango whips Mendoza hard and goes to the top but Mendoza cuts him off. Fandango sends Mendoza to the mat. Wilde distracts from the apron, allowing Mendoza to kick him from the top to the floor at ringside. Mendoza tags Wilde back in as we go to commercial.

As we return from the commercial break, and Fandango is going at it with Mendoza. Wilde and Breeze tag in at the same time. Breeze unloads and also knocks Mendoza to the floor. Breeze dropkicks Wilde and decks him in the corner. Breeze with more offense and another dropkick as Escobar looks on. Breeze clotheslines Mendoza to the floor now as he approaches. Breeze turns around and drops Wilde for a single-leg Crab. Finally we see Wilde make his way closer to the bottom rope to break the hold but Breeze pulls him back to the middle of the ring. Breeze ends Wilde after he counters and follows up by being sent over the top rope to the floor. Fandango leaps off the apron to nail Mendoza at ringside but he lands bad. Mendoza immediately stops Breezango from pinning Wilde in the ring.

Fans rally as Breeze grabs Wilde for the Unprettier but it’s blocked. Breeze doesn’t see the tag as Mendoza comes in and they double team him. Mendoza covers for the pin to win right as Fandango made it back into the ring.

Winners: Legado del Fantasma

After the Match

Immediately following the match, we hear the music hit as Wilde and Mendoza celebrate. Escobar takes a headset from the announcers and says NXT belongs to Legado del Fantasma. He goes on wondering where Jordan Devlin is, saying he is the true NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

Jordan Devlin Makes His Way Out

Upon the request by Santos Escobar, we suddenly hear the entrance theme sound over the speakers as the TRUE NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Jordan Devlin makes his way to the stage, carrying HIS NXT Cruiserweight Championship Title belt!

At this point, Devlin makes his way down the ramp and then he enters the ring where he stands across from Legado del Fantasma and proceeds to stare them down, fearlessly for his return to NXT! Escobar is standing on the announce table now while Wilde and Mendoza stand guard. Devlin begins by stating that Santos Escobar has been running around all willy nilly pretending to be the champion, saying he’s this and that, but he wants him to look into the ring at what a real champion looks like.

Devlin then continues on to state that as a TRUE champion, he didn't NEED to sneak attack, he told the whole world he was coming to call Escobar out, and he didn’t need two stooges. Not appreciating the label given by Devlin, Wilde and Mendoza proceed to then approach the ring apron as they inch closer to Devlin. Escobar stops both Wilde and Mendoza, informing them that "he's got this". At this point, Santos Escobar makes his way into the ring alone with Jordan Devlin (does this remind anyone else of The Parent Trap?)

Devlin warns Escobar, that The Ace is back in town. He continues on to tell Escobar that he can go ahead and "put his little replica title in the trash because the guy he was filling in for is back." (OUCH!) To his credit, Escobar responds to Devlin by stating that he has re-defined what it means to be a Cruiserweight Champion. Apparently the fans disagree, because in response to that, they begin to "BOOOOOO!" Escobar tells Devlin that he is history.

Escobar continues to trash talk Devlin as he goes on to tell Devlin that the only reason Devlin still has that title because everyone FORGOT about it. He tells Devlin to wrap up his business in the UK and come back to face him, on the one stage big enough for The Emperor of Lucha Libre – the “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” event.

To finish their confrontation, Santos Escobar states that he and Jordan Devlin will settle this once and for all. They face off and inch their faces closer and closer together until suddenly Jordan Devlin stuns Santos Escobar as he lands a massive Headbutt to the LDF leader! Devlin follows up by slamming Escobar on his head before retreating out of the ring and up the ramp, stopping at the stage to look back.

Right then, the Legado Del Fantasma members Wilde and Mendoza immediately head to the ring to assist their teammate and friend, Escobar. Escobar is bleeding from the mouth as he is assisted back to his feet by his teammates Wilde and Mendoza. At this point we see Dublin at the top of the stage, as he raises HIS Cruiserweight Championship Title, stating THAT is what a champ looks like. Escobar is still in the ring boiling over with rage over the events that just took place as the segment comes to an end.

Backstage Interview - Adam Cole

We head backstage as McKenzie Mitchell is standing in an area with little traffic as she sees former-Undisputed Era member Adam Cole and stops him momentarily to ask about his former Undisputed Era teammate/former best friend, Kyle O’Reilly's earlier comments about their upcoming one-on-one match up. Adam Cole is CLEARLY still angry as he responds that he is simply going to end O’Reilly and that is not undisputed, that is a promise. On that note, Cole exits before Mitchell can ask a follow up question.

Quick Announcement

The commentary team of Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett and Beth Phoenix remind us that the NXT Women's One-on-One match of Zoey Stark vs. Dakota Kai is Still To Come... but first, commercial break!

Vignette - Sarray

As we return from the commercial break, we get a short vignette highlighting Sarray, who will be "coming soon" to NXT.

Zoey Stark vs. Dakota Kai

We head back to the ring inside the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida to continue the next match up of the evening. Out first comes Zoey Stark as her entrance theme sounds in the arena and Stark makes her way to the stage, stopping at the top of the stage to pose briefly before making her way down the ramp and entering the ring where she awaits her opponent for the evening, Dakota Kai! Out next is Dakota Kai who is accompanied by Raquel Gonzalez as Kai's entrance theme sounds through the speakers inside the arena.

Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez make their way down the ramp, and Kai enters the ring as Gonzalez remains at ringside in Kai's corner "for good measure" as Kai prepares for the match-up in her corner inside the ring. With both women inside the ring, the referee gets set to begin the match, he signals for the bell. The bell rings and the next match-up is officially underway! To start things off, both women stare each other down as they size each other up before locking up in the center of the ring. Stark powers over Kai and rushes Kai into the corner of the ring, but Kai is able to back out as both woman fall to the canvas.

An overly extended lock-up is finally forced to break by the referee as they hit a stalemate. Next, both women attempt to lock in Armbars or submission attempts involving arms, all to no avail and the match moves on. Stark successfully grounds Kai as fans are split in who to root for as half the crowd is chanting for Kai and the other half is chanting for Stark. Stark hits a massive Clothesline to nearly turn Kai inside out after Kai powered out of Stark's grip. Immediately after the Clothesline, we see Stark go for the pin. Kai is able to kick out at the two and the match continues on. At this point, we see Kai fight back as she slams Stark to the canvas and quickly looks for a pin-fall attempt of her own, to no avail as Stark is able to get out drops Stark for a pin attempt.

Kai mounts Stark now with right hands and a 2 count. Kai whips Stark hard into the corner and she goes down. Kai with a running boot to the face as fans boo. Kai covers for 2. Kai grounds Stark again with a body scissors, talking trash and trying to pin her. Stark ends up fighting back and sending Kai to the floor with a high risk move. Stark stands tall and yells out on the apron as Gonzalez checks on Kai at ringside. Fans chant “NXT!” as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Kai slams Stark on her head, mounting her with more offense for another 2 count. Stark mounts offense for a comeback now, unloading on Kai as fans cheer her on. Kai side-steps a big kick but Stark comes right back with a half and half suplex. Stark charges with a big knee to the jaw but Kai kicks out at 2. Kai goes to the floor and leaves Stark draping over the edge of the apron, face-down.

Kai delivers a big kick to the head. Stark looks knocked out but she fights back on the apron. Kai avoids a German suplex on the apron. They tangle and Kai gets sent back in the ring. Stark flies in but Kai superkicks her in the jaw. Kai with a running kick in the corner for another close 2 count. They trade several pin attempts. More back and forth now. Kai ends up hitting a big Scorpion Kick for the pin to win.

Winner: Dakota Kai

After the Match

Right after the match, we hear Kai's music hit the speakers inside the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center arena as she stands in victory alongside Raquel Gonzalez! The fans are displeased and let it be known as the "BOO!!" very loudly to send us into the video replays.

Back inside the ring, we see Stark make her way to a sitting position with the assistance of the turnbuckles behind her, and Kai proceeds to taunt her (not very good sportsmanship for someone that loves the sport, a little respect for your competitor wouldn't hurt.)

NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai Joins The Ring

We suddenly hear the entrance theme for Io Shirai sound as the lights dim and we see the strobe lights blinking throughout the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center inside the arena and down the stage as Shirai makes her way down the ramp and towards the ring. Io Shirai then makes her way up onto the apron, finally climbing into the ring as she briefly stares down Dakota Kai, then proceeds to walk right past her as if she had no meaning whatsoever to her goal in life.

Shirai then walks over to Raquel Gonzalez and states that "she wants Gonzalez" as she proceeds to shove an already drawn up contract into Raquel's chest and then leaves the ring as quickly as she came. Shirai stops long enough to assist Stark out of the ring. A stunned Gonzalez stands next to Kai, both speechless and just watch as Stark and Shirai exit the ring and make their way up the ramp to end things.

Backstage Interview - General Manager William Regal

Following the events that took place between Jordan Devlin and Santos Escobar, we see McKenzie Mitchell waiting backstage as she looks for NXT General Manager William Regal in order to get his first comments in regards to Devlin and Escobar. Before Mr. Regal can produce a statement, an NXT Official Crew Member quickly runs up, informing Mr. Regal that something has happened to Adam Cole?! Everyone rushes out to the parking lot as we once again head to commercial break!

Video Clip - DQ-Sponsored Video - MSK

As we return from the commercial break, we quickly head into the "DQ-sponsored video which surrounds MSK.

Backstage - The Grizzled Young Veterans

We return from the DQ Sponsored Video Clip in time to run into James Drake and Zack Gibson representing The Grizzled Young Veterans backstage. Drake and Gibson immediately start off with sending a serious WARNING to MSK members Wes Lee and Nash Carter. The warning is in regards to the stunt MSK pulled over last week, and The Grizzled Young Veterans state they will NOT just "let this go".

At this point, Zack Gibson proceeds to show how injured his hand is following the events that took place last week, therefore he will be taking payment out of the A**es of MSK members. GYV continue on with more threats to MSK, stating they will soon be NXT's #1 tag-team, and they are sure of it!

Marcel Barthel vs. Tommaso Ciampa

We go back to the ring and out comes Imperium – Marcel Barthel with Fabian Aichner. Tommaso Ciampa suddenly smacks Barthel with a big steel chair shot out of nowhere as he’s entering the ring. He then takes out Aichner with the chair.

The bell rings as Ciampa enters. They go at it to start as fans are cheering Ciampa on. Alexander Wolfe is nowhere to be seen, same with Timothy Thatcher. Ciampa and Barthel continue to trade holds. Ciampa with big chops now. Barthel takes it to the ropes and the referee backs them off. Barthel grounds Ciampa with a headlock now as fans boo and rally. More back and forth now. Ciampa lands stiff shots. Barthel unloads on Ciampa but gets rocked in mid-air coming off the turnbuckles.

Ciampa clotheslines Barthel to the apron. Ciampa goes for the Willow’s Bell draping DDT but Aichner grabs Barthel’s leg to save him. Ciampa swings at Aichner but misses. This allows Barthel to turn it back around. Barthel dropkicks Ciampa as Aichner looks on. Barthel uses the middle rope on Ciampa, talking trash into the camera as fans boo. It sounds like he was telling Ciampa or maybe Thatcher to step in line. Ciampa fights back with big strikes in the middle of the ring now.

Ciampa with two stiff clotheslines. Ciampa knocks Aichner off the apron with a running knee, then hits a German on Barthel. Ciampa hits Willow’s Bell on Barthel for the pin to win.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

After the Match

Immediately following the match, we see Tommaso Ciampa attempting to regain his composure quickly enough to stand tall for his victory over Marcel Barthel as his music hits the speakers inside the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center.

NXT UK Champion WALTER Enters The Ring With Ciampa

As Ciampa is celebrating his victory, it's immediately cut short as the sound of The Imperium's music hits as the LEADER of Imperium, NXT UK Champion WALTER, makes his way to the top of the main stage above the ramp. WALTER looks down at Ciampa who is still inside the ring, so WALTER proceeds to make his way down the ramp, and steps up onto the apron.

Next, Ciampa watches WALTER climb up to the apron, Ciampa invites WALER to "join me" inside the ring, which Ciampa doesn't get to wait and see if WALTER complies because suddenly out of nowhere, Aichner and Barthel attack Ciampa from behind! They continue to attack Ciampa as the crowd loudly "BOO's!" to sound their dislike of the current events taking place!

Next we see WALTER make his way in to enter the fringe, and he proceeds to level Ciampa with ease as he hits a Big Power-Bomb! To end the attack, WALTER, Aichner and Barthel all stand over Ciampa's nearly passed out body, and their entrance theme sounds once again as they smile, feeling victorious where they clearly shout all over Ciampa and pose as their music starts back up.

Backstage - Adam Cole

We suddenly cut to a camera that's filming the backstage area and we happen to see the Orlando Police Department have Adam Cole in custody, Cole standing in cuffs.

NXT General Manager William Regal walks over to Adam Cole, shouting at Cole about Kyle O'Reilly attempting to "run him off the road". As the camera pans out, we see a SECOND Police cruiser and Kyle O'Reilly is seated in the backseat, ALSO handcuffed and in custody! Unable to contain himself, Cole is shouting uncontrollably at O'Reilly in the police cruiser and shouting threats (not a smart move with cops present... just sayin.)

Quick Announcement

The broadcasting commentary team briefly discuss what they just witnessed with O'Reilly, Cole, and Regal before being sent backstage where LA Knight is standing.

Backstage - LA Knight

As we head backstage, we see LA Knight preparing for his match-up this evening, but he stops long enough to deliver a short promo where he explains how he's going to dominate in his match and be the victor. On that note, we head to commercial break!

LA Knight vs. August Grey

We return from the commercial break for the next match up of the evening. Out first is LA Knight to make his in-ring debut as his entrance theme sounds in the arena. As Knight looks towards the ring, we see that August Grey apparently made his way to the ring during the commercial break and has been awaiting his opponent until this moment. Knight doesn't want to make Grey wait any longer and quickly continues down the ramp, entering the ring for tonight's one-on-one match-up.

With both competitors inside the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings, and this match up is officially underway. To start things off for his ring debut, Knight immediately goes on the offense to take down Grey. Knight lands a big Back Elbow that sends Grey down to the canvas for a POP! Knight then hits a Running Knee to the head of Grey who is laid out on the apron at this point due to a middle rope attack by Knight.

Next, we witness Knight making his way to the apron where he then proceeds to launch himself towards Grey with a Flying Shoulder that connects. Back to his feet, Knight lifts Grey for yet another power move, only to see Grey counter out of the hold. Knight looks for a Clothesline to reassert control but Grey counters again! At this point, Grey makes his way to the top to look for a high flying move, but Knight is able to catch Grey mid-air, stopping him in his tracks with nowhere to go

Knight stands tall and shows off some. He stops when he sees Bronson Reed come to the stage with the blue jacket he wore last week. Reed tries to put the jacket on but it doesn’t fit so he rips it trying to wear it. Grey rolls a distracted Knight from behind for a 2 count. They trade big strikes now with Grey rocking Knight.

Grey with a jawbreaker and a swinging Neck-Breaker. Grey goes to the top and leaps with a big crossbody but Knight moves and he lands hard. Knight mounts Grey with aggressive right hands. Knight with kicks and a modified Face-Buster for the three count pin to win.

Winner: LA Knight

After the Match

Following the match, Knight makes his way out of the ring after standing tall for his victory. As he makes his exit off towards the apron, his music hits, refusing to let the referee raise his arm. At this point we head to the video replays for highlights from the match-up.

As we return to the ring, we see Knight make his way over to the stage where he picks up his ruined jacket where he proceeds to throw it back down upon further inspection, presumably deeming it unfixable.

Backstage Interview - Raquel Gonzalez

McKenzie Mitchell is standing backstage with Raquel Gonzalez, still holding the contract that was shoved into her chest several segments ago when current NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai made a guest appearance to the ring and inform Raquel that she wants her for the next match up.

Suddenly we see Raquel Gonzalez's good friend and tag-team partner, Dakota Kai make her way into the area where Gonzalez and Mitchell are conducting the interview. Kai doesn't seem to take notice of the interview as she just walks in and proceeds to congratulates Gonzalez.

Kai then continues on as she states they need to "finish what they started" so William Regal has granted them the tag-team match against Io Shira and Zoey Stark for next week's edition of WWE NXT On USA Network!

Raquel wonders why she would do that when she can have Shirai in a title match any time she wants. Kai goes on about how they need to keep showing the NXT Women’s Tag Team division "just who is really in charge". On that comment, Gonzalez agrees completely and states they're on the same page when it comes to next week!

Backstage - Karrion Kross and Finn Balor

We head backstage once again as the MAIN EVENT match up is only minutes away at this point, and we see Karrion Kross making his way down the hall backstage without Finn Balor by his side even though they are tag-team partners (as long as they work together as a team once INSIDE the ring, it is what it is!)

On that note, we head to commercial break once again!

Promo - NXT UK Episode on WWE Network

As we return from the commercial break, we get a quick promo highlighting the NXT UK edition for TOMMOROW, March 18, 2021 on the WWE Network, don't miss it!!

Vignette - Tian Sha - Xia Li Boa, and Mei Ling

Next we head straight into a BRAND NEW video vignette for the group Tian Sha, which consists of... Xia Li, Boa and Mei Ling.

To start things off, Xia Li begins her promo by stating that they have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy within Tian Sha, there for "RESISTANCE will NOT be tolerated in any way shape or form!! With that being said, that clearly means that ANY and ALL obstacles that run the risk of getting in their way... will be removed

Parking Lot - NXT General Manager William Regal

We return to the Parking Lot where we once again meet with NXT General Manager William Regal. Regal is circling the perimeter of one section, presumably to calm down. He is stopped by a camera man out in the parking lot. He’s furious over Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole. He hopes the police will drop their charges and if they do, he’s going to call them both to the Capitol Wrestling Center next week. Regal says he will have a solution to their situation. He walks off.

NXT Tag Team Titles Match
Karrion Kross & Finn Balor vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch

Once again we head back to the ring inside the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in the WWE Performance Center for tonight’s MAIN EVENT of the evening!! Out first for tonight's NXT Tag-Team Titles Match, is Karrion Kross who is accompanied by Scarlett Bourdeux. The two make their way through their normal entrance with smoke and signing and the whole nine yards. As they stand inside the ring, the next entrance theme music sounds over the speakers as the current reigning NXT Champion, The Prince Finn Balor makes his way to the stage. Balor then proceeds to make his way down the ramp and enter the ring where he joins his partner, Karrion Kross as they await their opponents, the current reigning NXT Tag-Team Champions. At this point we get the formal ring introductions to get this match officially underway.

The referee then signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match begins! To start things off in tonight's title match for the NXT Tag-Team Titles, Karrion Kross is in for his corner, and Oney Lorcan is the legal man in for his corner to get the action going. Karrion Kross makes his way towards Lorcan and immediately drops Lorcan to the canvas with a massive Shoulder Shove. Next we see Karrion Kross connect with a Big Overhead Throw to Lorcan!

At this point, Karrion begins to snarl and growl at Oney Lorcan who is trapped in the corner of the ring, the look on Oney Lorcan's face reads that he is a bit concerned at this point. Apparently Danny Burch could read that as well as he shouts to Lorcan to make his way over for the tag. Finally Lorcan reaches his corner and Burch tags in. Before Burch can even attempt any offense, he is immediately taken down with a Power Slam to the canvas, Lorcan landing right on his face! Next we witness Danny Burch quickly evade a Clothesline that could've turned him inside out! Karrion Kross again lands a Massive Shoulder Shove to take down Danny Burch, then Burch is able to counter with his first connecting blow, which is a Back Elbow on Kross! Kross then follows up with a Big Clothesline to take Burch down to the canvas once again.

From their corner, Finn Balor begins to applaud Karrion Kross, stating "that's how it's done!" Next we see Karrion Kross make his way over to Burch once again where he then lifts Burch up high and delivers a really BIG Bear Hug in the center of the ring. Scarlett is watching on from ringside, still impressed that she "saw" all this in her premonition. Inside the ring, Kross continues to maintain control as he slowly tightens the hold and man-handles Burch some as he tosses him around the ring like a tiny rag-doll in the hands of this beast! Burch tries to fight out but Kross keeps the hold locked in.

Next we witness Burch attempting to gain full control of the match as he's had enough of the defensive ducking and blocking throughout the match. T Burch with right hands to the face now but Kross tightens. Burch finally breaks the hug. Kross goes right back to a scoop slam in the middle of the ring. Kross stares Lorcan down. Kross goes for a suplex on Burch but Lorcan runs in and makes the save. The champs go for a double suplex but Kross reverses it and sends them flying. Kross stands over Burch as the referee checks on him for a potential arm injury. Balor just stands there on the apron next to Kross. Kross looks down at Burch as we go to a picture-in-picture commercial. Balor tags in and goes at it with Lorcan now.

Back from the break and Lorcan decks Balor and tries to roll him but Balor kicks him in the jaw. Balor takes Lorcan back down by his arm now. Lorcan takes it to the corner and knees Balor in the gut. Lorcan slams Balor’s face into the turnbuckle and fights him off. Lorcan drops Balor off the ropes and works him over in the corner again. Lorcan stomps away while Balor is down in the corner now. Fans boo as Lorcan puts a boot to Balor’s face.

Lorcan with a suplex to Balor for a close 2 count. Lorcan grounds Balor now. We see a medic tending to Burch at ringside now. Lorcan drops Balor and continues to dominate him. Kross stares Lorcan down as he continues to control Balor and fans boo. Lorcan stands tall while Balor sits on his knees. Balor rocks Lorcan with a big jawbreaker. Lorcan with an uppercut. Balor with an overhead kick for a pop. Balor reaches for a tag but Lorcan rushes and knocks Kross off the apron to the floor. Balor runs from corner to corner on Lorcan now. Balor drops Lorcan and hits a double stomp to the chest as fans cheer him on. Balor clotheslines Lorcan to the floor and follows. Balor with a Slingblade to Lorcan on the floor.

Balor looks over at Kross. Balor with a running dropkick to Lorcan on the floor now, but he knocks Lorcan into Scarlett. She goes down hard. Balor kicks Lorcan and rolls him back in the ring. Balor walks over to check on Scarlett. She’s down but she starts laughing now. Kross recovers and grabs Balor by his throat, ramming him back into the Plexiglas barrier over and over. Kross manhandles Balor and rolls him back in the ring. Lorcan immediately charges and hits the running uppercut on Balor for the pin to retain.

Winners: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch

After the Match

Kross comes right in and drops Lorcan with the Doomsday Saito suplex. Kross with a second Doomsday on Lorcan as fans cheer. Kross unloads on Balor in the corner now. Kross launches Balor to the mat with a Doomsday Saito now as fans cheer and boo. Kross grabs Balor and applies the choke from behind, putting him down on the mat in a daze. Scarlett enters the ring and joins Kross.

She looks to be helping Balor up now. She stops and stares Balor in the eye as Kross comes from behind and levels him with the running forearm to the back of the head. The crowd goes wild with mixed reactions now. At this point we watch as Karrion Kross continues to deliver an unwarranted beatdown on his tag-team partner for the match that JUST ended, Finn Balor.

At this point, Scarlett seemingly attempts to help Balor as she pulls him back up to his feet... but no, it's just so Kross can hit Balor with a Forearm to lay him back out on the canvas. Scarlett walks over and picks up the NXT Championship belt, then proceeds to walk over to a still laid out Balor. Scarlett then lays the title on his chest and whispers gently, “Everything happens for a reason. You can’t escape fate.”
