According to Fightful Select, several high-ranking officials in WWE are advocating for a major Premium Live Event (PLE) to be held in China in the coming years. The report specifically mentions Hong Kong as a potential host city, and discussions about this have been ongoing internally for several months.
WWE has previously held a total of eight events in the country, with most taking place in Shanghai. However, many events in the region were paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and WWE has not returned to China since late 2019.
As of now, WWE has not announced any events in the region. However, the company is scheduled to return to Asia this October, with two WWE Supershow live events taking place in Tokyo, Japan, on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18.
