WWE Producer And Official Files To Trademark Own Nickname

This past November 8th, WWE producer and on-screen official Adam Pearce filed to trademark the “Scrap Daddy” name with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) for entertainment purposes. He has used this nickname throughout his entire in-ring career. Adam Pearce started out his career has a pro wrestler from 1996-2004, when he competed in promotions such as PWG, ROH and the NWA. Adam Pearce was a 5-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.

Pearce then made the transition from a pro wrestler to a trainer, when he signed with the WWE. He was a trainer at the WWE Performance Center before becoming a producer, in addition to his role as an on-screen authority figure.

Below is the use description submitted to the USPTO:

“Mark For: SCRAP DADDY™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, providing professional wrestling and sports exhibitions, shows, and performances by professional manager, wrestler, referee, promoter, producer, live event director, coach, on-screen-official, commissioner, and entertainer rendered live and through all forms of broadcast media, including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online services; Providing wrestling and sporting interviews, news reports, comments, writings, entertainment, and information rendered live and through all forms of media, including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online services.”
