-- According to a report by pwinsider.com, McIntyre has actually been dealing with some neck issues for at least the past several weeks and will require legitimate testing to determine the extent of any injury. There is no word on how long he will be out of action though one source said it's "up in the air", but of course, that would be dependent on what the evaluation reveals. As a result, WWE proactively wrote him out of storylines with the PPV attack.
-- Some people backstage noted how "insanely hard" McIntyre had been working in recent weeks despite the injury, sometimes wrestling multiple times per night, and that he "went down swinging" for the company. McIntyre was spotted exiting the Day 1 PPV venue with a neck brace.
