WWE Raw News: Scheduled Opening & Closing Matches, Multiple Surprises Planned, more

Below are more news, notes and spoilers for tonight's WWE Raw in Los Angeles, which serves as the company's debut on Netflix:

  • While the NXT roster is in Los Angeles, Corey Brennan of fightfulselect.com reports that it is more for logistical reasons and having the roster there early for the NXT show in the same city tomorrow.
  • As per Sportskeeda, the opening match of tonight's broadcast is expected to be the Tribal Combat bout between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa with WWE likely leaning towards having CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins close out the show.
  • Fightfulselect.com reports that people internally are expecting tonight's show to be "wild" and of a "major, PLE quality show" with so many huge stars on hand.  There are multiple "surprises" planned.
  • The rehearsals for Raw from last night and this morning currently have six (6) men's segments and one (1) women's segment. However, not everyone was present for the rehearsals and these numbers are far from finalized.
  • The backstage sentiment among wrestlers is that everyone expects Becky Lynch to be returning and for Penta to be debuting.
  • WWE will be implementing a number of new production elements into tonight's show and it's already been reported that the commentating booth and the stage will both be undergoing changes.
