WWE Raw Notes: Goldberg, Original Main Event, Legends Missing, Hogan & more

-- The original planned main event for Monday's WWE Raw was Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton, as per pwinsider.com but this was changed to Drew McIntyre vs. Keith Lee to go with the Goldberg angle to end the show. The change was a last minute edit, which likely contributed to the timing issues that plagued Raw. Goldberg for his part, was well hidden backstage and there weren't a lot of people who knew he was there.

-- Another idea that was changed was to open Raw with Hulk Hogan in the ring cutting a promo. The final version saw it changed to a backstage type segment with a Hogan voice over.

-- After Raw went off the air, Goldberg and McIntyre continued their face off with McIntyre nailing him with the Glasgow Kiss headbutt.

-- Despite being advertised, Carlito, Mick Foley nor Candice Michelle appeared during Legends Night. Foley made the decision himself as he recently recovered from COVID-19 and while no longer contagious, felt it best to miss the show. Carlito was written in for a cameo appearance but it was another segment that ultimately was pulled. There is no word on why Michelle did not appear.
