As previously reported, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre made his return during the main event of Superstar Spectacle, where he teamed up with Indus Sher to face Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boyz. Aside from McIntyre, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal also made his return. Prior to Superstar Spectacle, Jinder Mahal made his return to in-ring action on the April 27th episode of RAW after being out for the most of 2019 as well as early 2020 due to knee surgery.
Last summer, Jinder underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center to fix the issues he had with his knee. A feud between Mahal and McIntyre was planned, but due to Mahal's injury, this championship showdown was nixed. This match had been talked about quite a bit by both guys at the time due to their history.
There is no word yet on when Mahal will be making his return to Monday Night RAW, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
