WWE Raw Talk Recap (12/7) - Guests: Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Drew McIntyre & more

WWE Raw Talk - December 7, 2020
Recap by: Andrew Hatcher of rajah.com

Welcome to the Raw Talk Recap show! Charley Caruso and special guest host, the "24/7, Seven Eleven, European, TV Champion" R Truth are tonight's host from the Thunderdome. The guests for tonight are two members of The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander), the WWE Woman's Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, as well as WWE Champion Drew Mcintyre! Charly says collectively they are "Char-truth". What a name... Anyways, Truth says he's still trying to figure out what happened between Orton, and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. Charly mentions that she's always imagining "The Fiend" standing over her bed. Weird. Video footage of the night's main event are shown, and Charley asks Truth if she thinks Orton has a chance against the Fiend, and Truth says Randy has alot going for him, but he's gonna be nice to "The Fiend". Charly tells Truth he says alot of crazy stuff, and Truth says he's working on that. Charley transitions into talking about the Hurt Business, and the first guests of the night make their way to the table.

Tonight's representatives of the Hurt Business are Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. Truth asks them a question about Benjamin Button, an asks Shelton how it feels to be born old. He goes on to ask if kids bothered him about the medication. Charly says they have tried to get Truth help, "but no one will admit him". Cedric ask Truth if kids still bother him, probably referring to Little Jimmy. Charly asks them about both of their matches against Kofi Kingston on Raw. Shelton lost his match, but Cedric was victorious over the former WWE Champion, and current WWE Tag Team Champion. Shelton says for anyone watching, "the Hurt Business reigned supreme tonight". Charly says Kofis' knee was hurt, and Cedric asks them who won. Truth says Kofi already had a match, and Charly says Kofi must have felt good enough to compete again. Cedric says Kofi is a tag team champion, "and should always be ready to go". Truth begins talking again, and Shelton tells him he won't have this all night. Truth says he's only "trying to chip in on what's going on". Charly begins talking about Cedric Alexander's addition to the Hurt Business, and Shelton says what happened against Kofi was "business as usual". Charly wonders if Cedric and Shelton deserve a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships. Cedric tells Charly she "has a habit of asking weird questions", and begins to review the past 2 weeks, which Truth thinks happened tonight... Cedric reminds them that he has beaten both Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston. Truth interjects, and tells Cedric that attention pays him, and he knows Shelton lost to Kofi. Shelton says he gets in the ring and hurts people, which Truth "knows all about". Charly says she's gonna work on her questions, as Shelton explains to Truth that the name is the Hurt Business, not "Hurts business". She then transitions into talking about the shows next two guests, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

The WWE Women's Tag Team Champions make their way to the table, and Shayna questions why she has to sit next to Truth. Nia asks Charly if she paid half price for her shirt. We then somehow get to Nia asking Charly if she would like for the tag champs to put her boobs on her back, and Charly declines. I am certain no one wants to see that... Anyways, Charly asks them about Lana and Asuka recently defeating them, and Shayna says no one should take Lana serious. She says Lana shouldn't even be allowed at ringside. Truth says Lana is on a streak, like a skunks back. He goes on to say Lana is like Goldberg, and we should call her "Lana-berg". So many bad names tonight... Shayna says every time she's on Raw Talk "it's the worst part of my day". Truth says she didn't get any potato salad, and Nia says Shayna actually had soup. Charly wonders if there was any salt in that soup. She then asks Nia about Lana, who Nia faces next week on Raw, and Shayna begins mocking Lana. Charly asks Nia if she's afraid of Lana. An insulted Nia Jax asks Charly if she lost half of her brain when she lost the other half of her shirt. Nia then mentions she's wants to "talk to the manager". Charly asks Nia if she's Karen now, as a graphic is displayed for a WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match between the current champs, and the challengers, Lana with Asuka. Shayna says a good friend would talk Lana "out of jumping off of the bridge". Charly says she's seen Lana training with Naty on Instagram, and Nia says Lana can take a good beating. Nia says "shes sick and tired of Lana thinking she can compete with champions like them". Shayna questions when being good on Tik Tok and Instagram has ever made anyone a good wrestler. Nia says every woman has worked their ass off for this company, and she's doesn't care what happens on social media. Shayna says that's because they work hard every day, and they don't post on social media, because being good is normal for them. Charly questions if next weeks Lana vs Nia Jax match will be indicative of the match at TLC. Shayna says she's sick and tired of how things are on Raw. She goes on to say no one can out wrestler her, or out strength Nia. Shayna says Lana's opportunity is "a remedy for us". Truth begins chanting "Lana-berg", and the guests leave the table. Charly introduces us to the nights next guest, two time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

The WWE Champion joins "Char-Truth" at the table, and they ask him about his brawl with Sheamus. Drew goes on to tell us that "that's what brothers do, and it won't be the first or last time". Drew says the Brogue kick was accidental, but they still had to fight about it. He says getting between he and Sheamus in a fight would be "the biggest mistake of your damn life", as clips from the brawl are shown. Drew says him and Sheamus working together is "the most terrifying thing anyone has seen, just take a look at what happened to Pat Buck". Charley begins to say women are so much different than men, but she is then interrupted by Sheamus. Truth makes sure he and Drew aren't going to start brawling at the table. Truth cordially mentions Sheamus is dressed well, and Sheamus says Truth is also dressed nice. Neither guy was dressed all that nice... Charly asks Sheamus about the accidental brogue kick, and Sheamus shrugs it off, saying it's happened before, but they move on. Charly says that's what brothers do, and Sheamus starts rambling, as Drew wonders if he's ever been on tv. Drew says if anyone can't keep up with the physicality he and Shemus bring, they shouldn't be on the roster, "because they don't belong on it". Charly asks what was going through Sheamus' head after the brogue kick, and Sheamus smirkingly says "that was a sweet kick". Sheamus tells Drew to be thankful he was able to keep his teeth, and walks away "to go to the bar". Charly asks Drew about his opponent at TLC, AJ Styles. He says he's not happy AJ won, because now AJ is gonna be talking about it. Drew then goes on to say AJ may have the advantage with tables, ladders, and chairs involved, as well as having Omos in his corner. He says the fans are buzzing about this first ever match, and he's been waiting for this match since he was 16. He says it's like AJ has been ducking him, and they've always passed "like ships in the night" but, they have never squared off, until now. Drew states that at TLC, he will remain WWE Champion. Truth asks him if he will bring the sword with him, and Drew says Sheamus spoke to his dad to get it, so now he takes it everywhere, because of the family history behind it. How's that for story telling?! Charly thanks Drew for joining the show, and says the champ has his work cut out for him. Charly tells Truth he needs to work on a filter, and the show fades to black.
