In an ongoing angle that played out on Raw, Miz argued that the cash-in should never have counted as it was technically John Morrison who cashed it in. Towards the end of the show, official Adam Pearce ruled that Miz's argument was valid and that the cash-in could only be initiated by him, thus, the TLC scenario was null and void.
-- Next week on Raw, the WWE Title will be on the line with Drew McIntyre defending his title against Keith Lee. The match materialized after Lee defeated Sheamus to become the official #1 contender for the championship. Next week's Raw - the first of 2021 - is themed "Legends Night" and will feature appearances by Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and many other stars of yesteryear.
