-- Mustafa Ali was recently the news after going public with his desire to be released from his WWE contract. At that time, it was not known if WWE would let him walk as the belief was that given the company was releasing other wrestlers, it would be hard to explain why they would keep someone against their wishes. Fightfulselect.com reports that despite the public request, WWE currently has no plans to let Ali leave.
-- The two sides have reportedly spoken to each other within the last week and that is when Ali was informed that they would not be accommodating his request to leave as of now as they see "value" in him. Ali apparently has "years left" on his current WWE deal but WWE hasn't used him in over two months after he initially asked for one show off and then later was involved in a backstage argument with WWE head honcho Vince McMahon over creative differences.
