WWE Reportedly Has Major Plans For Oba Femi On Main Roster; News On Which Brand He Is Expected On

Oba Femi successfully defended his NXT Championship this week but then promptly left the belt in the ring and walked away, leading to speculation that it was his way of closing his NXT chapter.

WWE then confirmed that Femi was done in NXT, officially announcing that Femi's actions of leaving the belt in the ring effectively vacated the title, while more or less confirming that Femi was headed to one of the two main rosters, Raw or Smackdown.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported today that as of this week, Femi is expected to land on the Raw brand and not only that, but WWE has creative plans to have him debut very close to the top of the card. The report added that there are internal pitches to feature him prominently at WrestleMania 42 in April.

Sean Ross Sapp added that WWE's story of having Oba Femi drop the title by simply laying the belt and leaving were because of imminent main roster plans but also those in charge of his creative once he gets to Raw didn't want him to take another loss on the way up.
