-- WWE may be looking to resurrect EVOLVE after having purchased the promotion over four years ago. PWInsider.com is reporting that rumors on the independent wrestling scene suggest that WWE is going to bring back the promotion in some capacity with additional details below being shared:
- Tapings for EVOLVE are believed to be taking place at the WWE Performance Center and they would use the recently announced WWE ID talents. Some wrestlers on the indie scene believe that tapings will commence in late January or early February but it is not clear where the matches will air or stream.
- EVOLVE founder Gabe Sapolsky, who is signed to WWE and works as a creative consultant and talent scout, is believed to be the person who will be in charge of creative and it would explain why he has been overseeing the WWE ID division so far.
- WWE ID talent where "showcased" this past Tuesday on the episode of NXT "for a reason", presumably with the idea that they will be featured on EVOLVE.
- WWE recently signaled the end of WWE NXT Level Up series and while it may seem like EVOLVE could have been the reason for it, the report suggests that it is actually the A&E "WWE LFG" series which is under production as the actual replacement for Level Up.
