-- In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that WWE executives Paul "HHH" Levesque and Nick Khan are looking to align their company with "Japanese allies" moving forward and the first step in that goal was the alliance with All Japan this week. The two are also looking to for a women's promotion to partner with.
-- The report adds that WWE has had internal talks of trying to make another attempt to work with New Japan Pro Wrestling now that Hiroshi Tanahashi is the president, however, they have had forged a successful partnership with AEW and the presentation of Forbidden Door which has benefitted both promotions. The other factor that would likely come into play if NJPW had to pick between WWE and AEW is that AEW allows its top stars to attend and participate in NJPW events both in the United States and in Japan.
