WWE Reportedly Passed On Signing ROH World Champion RUSH

According to recent reports, the WWE passed on signing ROH World Champion RUSH to a contract with the company due to his asking price being too high. During the negotiations between the WWE and RUSH, AAA was reportedly representing the ROH World Champion. WWE reportedly made an offer to RUSH, but it was disappointingly lower than expected, continuing a trend of the company lowballing signed and unsigned talent.

On January 15th, 2019, it was announced by ROH that they signed RUSH to a contract. RUSH then went on to become the ROH World Champion on September 2019 when he defeated Matt Taven at the company's Death Before Dishonor XVII PPV. RUSH last wrestled for ROH at Final Battle 2020 last month, defeating Brody King and successfully retaining his ROH World Title. The match saw RUSH's brother, Dragon Lee and his father, La Bestia del Ring, interfere to allow RUSH to pick up the victory.

The report then indicates that ROH has either re-signed RUSH to a contract that has his current terms or that they have come to terms on a new deal. Updates will be given once it has been made available.
