-- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that last week’s Gauntlet Match and long-term planning has WWE positioning Shinsuke Nakamura has a future opponent for Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Nakamura is being built back up for this program and they also noted that it’s still possible that WWE could back out of the Reigns vs. Pearce match at Royal Rumble and instead use Nakamura or even Kevin Owens again in that spot. Aside from that, Daniel Bryan is also considered a future opponent for Reigns though the belief there is that WWE may push that match out until WrestleMania.
