WWE has signed NIL athlete Meghan Walker to an updated Performance Center contract, according to PWInsider.com (via Fightful.com). Walker, a track and field athlete from Brandon, South Dakota, was initially signed to WWE under an NIL deal earlier this summer, joining 12 other athletes in the program in June. Before her signing with WWE, Walker competed in track and field for the University of Nebraska.
The WWE NIL program is part of WWE's developmental system, designed to scout and support potential talent. This program specifically focuses on college athletes who wish to train as professional wrestlers. Other recent NIL signees include Brock Rechsteiner, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner and cousin of current WWE Superstar Bron Breakker, who plays as a wide receiver for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Additionally, TJ Bullard, the son of WWE Global Ambassador Titus O’Neil, has also joined the program; he plays football for the University of Central Florida.
