WWE Reportedly Wanted a "Supernatural" Route for Judgment Day Stable Which Edge Opposed

-- WWE's new Judgment Day stable took a major turn on Monday's Raw with Finn Balor turning heel and joining the group, while former "leader" Edge was booted out and subsequently turned babyface. While some wondered if these moves were a fallout of the Cody Rhodes injury, fightfulselect.com is reporting that WWE's future plans for the stable may have factored into Edge leaving.

-- The report notes that WWE had/has plans to take the group along a more "supernatural" course and that Edge opposed this move. While not explicitly stated, the inference seems to be when creative laid out this plan to Edge, he didn't agree and plans were re-written and in the hours leading up to Raw, word started circulating backstage that there was going to be a big shift involving Balor and Edge. For what it's worth, WWE had always planned on having Balor join the group, in fact, even before Hell in a Cell and at that time, there was no inclination at all that Edge would be removed. Edge was actually teasing new members for his faction as recently as this weekend.
