WWE unveiled their WrestleMania 42 Night One and Night Two lineup earlier this morning when commentator Joe Tessitore appeared on ESPN’s Get Up.
Tessitore confirmed that Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Undisputed title would headline the first night while CM Punk defending his World Heavyweight title against Roman Reigns would anchor the second.
Also revealed was the fact that the first hour of night one will be simulcast on ESPN2. WWE has announced that Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu (unsanctioned match) and the six-man tag team match featuring Logan Paul, Austin Theory & IShowSpeed vs. The Usos & LA Knight will air during that part of the show.
On night two, the first hour is again being simulcast - this time on ESPN so WWE is broadcasting Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi and the six-way ladder match for Penta’s Intercontinental title in an attempt to lure in people watching on ESPN.
Of note is that the second night currently only has six matches though one more is expected to be made official soon, believed to be Asuka vs. IYO SKY. The first night already has the rumored seven matches on the schedule. Below is how each night lines up:
Night One
- WWE Undisputed Title Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton (w/ Pat McAfee)
- Women’s World Title Match: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan
- Singles Match: Seth Rollins vs. Gunther
- WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match: AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match: Nia Jax & Lash Legend vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. The Bella Twins vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria
- Unsanctioned match: Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu (simulcast on ESPN2)
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: Logan Paul, Austin Theory & IShowSpeed vs. The Usos & LA Knight (simulcast on ESPN2)
