Bron Breakker has been in the news lately for an unfortunately timed injury that has been deemed serious enough to threaten his availability for WrestleMania 42.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Breakker underwent a "major operation" rather than a minimally invasive one and that even an optimistic return to action would cut it close with WrestleMania. He noted that nobody within WWE is willing to put a timeline on when Breakker would be back but cautioned that a regular hernia surgery comes with about a two-month recovery period while Breakker underwent a "worse" operation.
WWE also announced that AJ Lee will take on Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber even though most expected this match to take place at WrestleMania. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer shared that the program with Lee and Lynch is set to continue through to WrestleMania, hinting that whatever happens at the Elimination Chamber PLE will drive the story forward.
