-- Now former AEW and WWE star Malakai Black / Aleister Black is expected to be returning "imminently" to WWE, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Black, who wrestled for WWE from 2016-2021 and was recently released by AEW after initial reports suggested he was locked into a contract until 2027, was always a strong candidate to return to WWE due to his history with Triple H. He is married to current WWE star Zelina Vega.
-- The Observer als reports that Rey Fenix - the brother of Penta - is also so strongly expected to join WWE that the creative team is already "making plans" for him. However, it should be noted that Penta is still technically under AEW contract and there's been no indication if or when he will be released or whether the promotion will simply let his deal expire. Penta has had time added to his contract due to inactivity and injury but has made no secret of his desire to leave as soon as he is legally able to. It was also reported earlier this month that AEW actually considered cutting ties with him completely as part of the roster cuts that saw Malakai Black, Miro, Ricky Starks all released but ultimately they decided to keep him for now.
