Saturday Night's Main Event Live Results (May 23, 2026) - Fort Wayne, IN
Welcome to Our Show!
Michael Cole welcomes us to Fort Wayne, Indiana--the first WWE show here in twelve years. We get a video very quickly highlighting the history of SNME before starting right off with entrances!
Six-Woman Tag Team Match: WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab
The WWE Women's Champion, Rhea Ripley, is out first at 8:03pm to a great pop. We're reminded that she's undefeated at SNME and also that she has a WrestleMania rematch a week from tomorrow at WWE Clash in Italy. Yes, it airs on Sunday at I think 2pm EST (double-check the wwe.com website). Out next are the tag team duo of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin are out next at 8:08pm. The trio pay homage to Gary, Indiana's Michael Jackson with their entrance and ring attire. Nicely done. We get the bell at 8:10pm EST.
Rhea and Jade start off in the ring, but Cargill quickly tags in B-Fab. Ripley, incensed by this, spends the next two minutes beating down B-Fab. Eventually Alexa Bliss tags in, as does Michin. Michin wastes a few moments taunting Bliss; Bliss makes her pay for it. Bliss tags in Flair, who hoists Bliss up so she can dragon kick Michin. Flair uses a headlock with her knees to bounce Michin's head around the canvas. Flair with a clothesline to drop Michin. B-Fab tags in and attacks Flair in the corner. Bliss flies in with a Crossbody to make the save. Jade Cargill drags Bliss out and kicks her behind the ref's back. Cargill gets the tag and enters the ring, going toe-to-toe with the Queen Charlotte Flair. Ripley jaws off and eats a cheap shot to good boos. Michin capitalizes, taking Flair to the corner where the villainous trio use quick tags to keep the Queen isolated. Cargill comes in for brief periods, usually striking Flair after her minions spend time softening the target. The trio do a good job of isolating Flair in their corner for a several minutes. Flair attempts to break out but is quickly contained by Michin.
Finally around 8:18pm, Flair manages to gain some separation after both women drop each other with jumping kicks, and makes the hot tag to Ripley. Rhea comes in and immediately clocks Michin, whom B-Fab tagged in simultaneously. Ripley drops Jade Cargill with a running dropkick, sending her off the apron. Ripley lays into Michin with powerful blows and kicking strikes, firing up the crowd. The champ heads up top and hits a beautiful missile dropkick, covering for two. Jade Cargill makes the save just in the nick of time. Ripley looks to set up Riptide on Michin but is distracted by Cargill. Michin takes advantage and looks for Eat Defeat, but Ripley blocks it with a headbutt. Ripley looks for Riptide but Michin escapes. Ripley looks to block a Hurricanrana and turn it into a bomb move; Michin counters with a reverse Rana, driving Rhea onto the top of her head it looks like. Michin fails to put Ripley away.
Bliss tags in and drops Michin. B-Fab tags in and nearly charges into a Sister Abigail, but manages to escape. B-Fab with a takedown on Bliss. B-Fab tags in Michin and they look to double-team suplex Bliss. Bliss counters with a double-DDT to lay them out then tags in a fired-up Flair. Flair dives off the top with a Crossbody to wipe out B-Fab and Michin. The crowd's hot tonight, and I love it. Flair drives Michin into the canvas then sets up the Figure Eight. Michin kicks Charlotte off, nearly sending Flair into Ripley but she puts on the breaks. Flair turns and manages to avoid a running kick--but Ripley eats it! Michin catches the shocked Flair with a Styles Clash, paying homage to AJ Styles. Cargill makes the save. Bliss comes in and slaps Cargill, who shrugs it off and grabs Bliss by the neck.
Flair hits the ring and hits a running Big Boot to drop Cargill and make the save. The two celebrate in the ring; this costs them as it allows B-Fab and Michin to rally and collide into them. Everyone's down at 8:24pm and the crowd's applauding. Cargill recovers and it boils down to Rhea and Jade. The crowd's on fire as the two powerhouses square off and unload! Rapid-fire powerful fists fly, followed by a big headbutt from Ripley to rock Cargill. Ripley with the Riptide on Cargill! B-Fab hits the ring, making the save and dropping Ripley. Flair makes the save on Rhea, dropping B-Fab. Flair offers her hand to shake; Ripley goes to, then kicks a charging Michin to make the save. They finally smile, shake, and begin to double-team B-Fab and Michin, hitting stereo chops, stereo Fallaway Slams, stereo Kip-Ups, and then the two hold Alexa Bliss in their arms between them in a cute moment. This allows the heels to attack; Cargill hits Jaded on Ripley and promptly picks up the lol win at 8:27pm.
Your Winners, Jade Cargill, B-Fab & Michin! (17 minutes)
Singles Match: Sol Ruca vs Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch
I feel someone backstage is in a rush to get home for the holiday weekend, as we get no filler between matches. Sol Ruca makes her entrance, followed by the champ Becky Lynch. Keep in mind this is a non-title match and may, someday, help Ruca get a title shot against Lynch (per Cole). Lynch throws her title into Ruca's face pre-bell, stunning her. Ruca fires back and the ref calls for the bell at 8:37pm. Ruca with a faceplant on Lynch. Ruca with a springboard Crossbody, followed by a series of strikes with athletic kips and such to showoff her agility. Ruca heads to the apron and springboards off the top rope, lands on her knees, then clotheslines Lynch. Lynch rolls outside, looking for a breather. Ruca didn't get that memo, following it up with a dive from the apron to wipe out the champ. Ruca keeps the pedal pushed down, taking it to Lynch outside the ring before sending her back inside. Ruca looks for a Sol Snatcher but Lynch shoves her legs, stopping it.
Ruca with an arm drag to immediately put the champ off guard. Ruca takes Lynch into the corner, laying into her until the ref gives her a warning. Ruca backs off; Lynch takes advantage of this and tries to attack Ruca. Ruca isn't falling for it and fires off a Sol Snatcher--and Lynch gets out of the way, pulling the ref in front of her, causing Sol Ruca to hit the Sol Snatcher on referee Jessika Carr! The ref is down and Lynch exits the ring for a breather. The ref comes to and calls for the bell at 8:40pm EST--but the ref is wise to what happens and Lynch eats the DQ for dragging the ref into harms way! After the match, Lynch attacks Ruca with the title and snaps, hitting multiple Manhandle Slams on the vulnerable Ruca before threatening officials with her title if they try to interfere. She continues to pummel Ruca to massive boos for a bit before leaving of her own volition.
Your Winner by Disqualification, Sol Ruca! (3 Minutes)
New Match for WWE Clash in Italy
After several minutes of ads and such, we cut backstage where Becky Lynch is shown complaining to Nick Aldis. He mentions that he just spoke to Adam Pearce, and it's official--Becky Lynch will defend her WIC title against Sol Ruca at WWE Clash in Italy.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Penta(c) vs "All Ego" Ethan Page
I totally thought this would be the main event. "All Ego" Ethan Page is out first, followed by the champ's entrance at 8:54pm EST. The champ is shown much love by the Indiana crowd. Lillian Garcia gives us our official announcements. We get our bell at 8:58pm. Cole reminds us that in the 41 year history of Saturday Night's Main Event, there's only been one title change in 17 championship matches--when HBK fought the British Bulldog over 30 years ago. Our Superstars start us off with a number of standing switches and a lengthy series of move-and-countermove. Finally after several moments, the challenger settles into a rhythm and takes the champ down. Page uses slower, powerful strikes to try to tenderize the champ. Page with an Irish Whip to the opposite corner; Page follows it up but Penta comes out the corner fighting, ultimately sending the challenger to the outside at 9pm EST.
Penta baseball slides to the outside ring and begins to battle Page. Penta charges Page; Page with a back body pop-up, sending Penta crashing onto the commentary table. Page has to go outside to save Penta from a countout, and takes him to the ring where he begins to work the champ over, sending him face-first into the ring post to boos. Page once again slows the pace, taking the action back into the ring. Slow strikes and working holds resume. Page tries a few pin attempts, all for short two's. The crowd tries to rally behind Penta and the champ powers to a vertical base, using rights to try to gain some separation. Page shuts it down and resumes working over the champ. Penta again throws rights, looking for separation, and gets it finally at 9:05pm. Penta with a Sling Blade to drop the challenger, and the champ is on fire! Penta with a step-up Enziguri to rock Page, sending him outside. Page hits a beautiful over the top move to wipe out Page and both Superstars are down for a few moments outside.
Penta gets Page and himself in just in time to break the count, then heads up top and hit a flying Crossbody. Page gets a big boot up to stop a charging Penta and tries to position in the corner. Penta kicks him and the two battle in the corner briefly. Penta with a step-up Enziguri to send Page off the top. Penta hits a DDT and covers for two. Penta pulls Page up, looking for the Penta Driver, but Page uses an elbow to break free. Page with a series of strikes followed by a scoop slam, covering for two. Page with a big right, sending the champ staggering into the corner. Page whips Penta into the opposite corner but Penta pops up and hits a backstabber, covering for two. Penta pulls Page up and the two begin to exchange chops and fists as the crowd cheers them on. Page rebounds off the ropes and runs into a Superkick; Penta rebounds off the ropes and runs into a Superkick. The two then devolve into a not-old deer style series of Superkicks until both men are down. The ref checks on both at 9:09pm.
Both men rise and Ethan charges into yet another SUperkick. Penta charges Ethan and eats a Confidence Breaker! Page covers but only gets two! Page pulls Penta up and looks for the Eagleplex but Penta fights back, hitting a move ("hookah ladder"? Is that what Cole said?). The two continue to battle, with Penta hitting the Penta Driver. The action spills back into the corner where they battle briefly. Page pulls Penta's mask, giving him the opportunity to hit an Avalanche Scoop Slam off the middle turnbuckle! Page covers but only gets two. Page snaps, pounding away on the back of Penta's head until the ref warns him off. The ref checks on Penta and Page goes to expose a top turnbuckle. The ref catches him and warms him. The reg goes to restore the pad; Page pulls another off while he's busy. Penta charges Page; Page avoids it and sends Penta into the exposed turnbuckle! Page covers but Penta kicks out! Page charges a rising Penta and runs shoulder-first into the exposed turnbuckle, setting up a Mexican Destroyer from the champ to pick up the win at 9:12pm!
Your Winner AND STILL Intercontinental Champion, Penta! (14 minutes)
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Paige & Brie Bella(c) vs Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend)
The challengers, the Irresistible Forces make their way out first at 9:21pm. Our champs, Brie Bella and the recently-returned Paige, are out next at 9:23pm. We get our official introductions by Lillian Garcia ahead of our bell at 9:26pm and we're off with our penultimate match! Paige & Brie immediately attack Lash, sending her out of the ring, then hit a double-team bulldog on Nia. They use quick tags and a quick pace to try to keep Jax off guard, but Jax manages to shut that shit down when she catches a diving Brie and hits a side slam. Jax tags in Legend, who begins to battle with Brie. Brie looks for a tag on Lash and gets it easily enough. Lash grabs Brie and Paige by the neck but they battle out of it. Lash manages to take control of Paige and takes her to the mat, pummeling her with fists before attempting a very short pin attempt. Legend maintains control, using ripcord lariats and powerful strikes to continue to work over Paige. Legend tags in Jax and the two work Paige over in their corner until the ref warns them.
Jax slows the pace, using powerful clotheslines to soften Paige. She takes the champ to the mat and locks in a rear chinlock, using working holds to continue to maintain control. Whenever Paige attempts to break free with strikes, Jax simply slams her face into a turnbuckle. Legend comes back in and continues the slow, powerhouse pace. Legend with a brutal clothesline; the follow-up pin nets only a two. Legend takes some time to taunt Bella and yell at the ref. More working holds as of 9:30pm. Legend at one point uses the ropes to choke Paige until the ref warns her. Jax tags in and continues to the dominance, whipping Paige from corner to corner. Jax quickly tags in Legend. Lash saunters over to Paige, who promptly sends her out of the ring. Paige can't even make a step towards her corner, and Legend recovers. Legend tags in Jax. Jax looks for a charging shoulder thrust to Paige but Paige sidesteps it and Jax spears the ring post! Paige makes the hot tag to Brie Bella, who hits the ring on fire.
Bella with the Yes Kicks to Jax. Bella fights off an interfering Legend, but this opens her up to a strike from Jax. Jax takes control, pounding Bella. Jax tags in Legend, who hits a splash but fails to follow it up with a pin attempt. Lash tags in Legend and sets Bella up over her knee; Jax climbs the second rope and hits a guillotine leg drop on Bella. She covers but Bella manages to send them both to the outside. Bella hobbles over and tags in Paige. Paige comes in off the top but Jax catches her. Paige quickly fires off a Sunset Flip and covers for the win at 9:34pm!
Your Winners AND STILL Women's Tag Team Champions, Paige & Brie Bella! (8 Minutes)
World Tag Team Championship Main Event Match: the Vision(c) vs the Street Profits (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) w/ Paul Heyman
The Street Profits are out first at 9:46pm, wearing matching gold and black ring gear. Good pop from Fort Wayne. The champs, Austin Theory & Logan Paul--the Vision--are escorted out by WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman. They get a great heel reaction from the crowd. WWE should not take 12 years to revisit Fort Wayne, the crowd's been on fire tonight. We get our official announcements ahead of our bell at 9:51pm FWIW, this is the first meeting between these two tag teams. We're starting off with Montez Ford and Austin Theory. A few dozen fans have "Fire Logan Paul" signs in the front rows. Several moments--well over a minute--are wasted with both teams sort of talk smack before engaging. The Vision spend a very, very long time isolating and containing Montez Ford.
Around 9:55pm, Angelo Dawkins gets tagged in and fortunes change for the Street Profits. Dawkins & Ford work together to double-team Theory and Logan, battling the Vision as the ref loses control and all four men fight it out. The Vision retreat to the outside to regroup and consult with Paul Heyman. Heyman tells the ref "bye bye" and starts leading the champs up the ramp! They're going to take the loss by DQ; champion's advantage and all that. The Street Profits rush up the ramp and attack the champs, forcibly returning them to the ring. Dawkins takes it to Paul, battering him and covering for a two. Theory attempts a cheap shot but Dawkins scouts it and clocks him. This opens Dawkins up to a rear attack from Logan Paul, who capitalizes and begins another slow stretch of working holds and grounded strikes. Theory tags in and continues with the gameplan--keeping Dawkins isolated and grounded. The Vision work together to double-team Dawkins and pose to the crowd after a tag. Logan again with a working hold to slow the pace even further.
Dawkins begins to show signs of life with some blows to Paul's abdomen, but Paul drops him with a huge clothesline. The time is now 10:00pm EST. Theory tags in and continues to try to isolate Dawkins, taking him into the corner to pummel with shoulder thrusts and kicks. The crowd chants "Fire Logan" and Cole points out the planted fan signs stating to "Fire Logan Paul." Dawkins finally drops Theory and sends Logan Paul through the ropes. Dawkins dives for the hot tag but Paul, on the outside, attacks Montez Ford to prevent the tag. The Vision continue to isolate Dawkins, taking him into the Vision corner. Logan Paul looks for a leaping splash but Dawkins avoids it and hits a neckbreaker on Theory, everyone's down! Except Montez Ford, who's now up and on the apron for the hot tag at 9:02pm!
Ford comes in on fire with a springboard clothesline. Ford clears the ring, dropping every Visionary he can. Ford counters a rolling attack from Theory into a Powerslam, covering for two. Theory throws fists and elbows, then pulls up Ford. Logan Paul tags in; not sure if Ford saw that. Ford fires off shots at Theory and Paul attacks him from behind with a springboard somersault lariat, covering for two! Ford kicks out and Paul angrily tags in Theory. The crowd with a loud "Logan sucks" chant. The Vision whip Ford into the corner. Paul charges; Ford pops him over the ropes to the apron. Ford battles back to the Profit corner and Dawkins tags in. The future Hall of Famer with a modified German Suplex on Theory. Ford with a suicide dive on Paul on the outside. Ford and Dawkins with a doomsday-adjacent move, covering for two. Logan Paul dives in, barely making the save! The crowd pops for the spot. Ford with a step-up Enzigurin to a rallying Paul. Dawkins sends Paul outside. Ford with a beautiful spot at 10:06pm where he charges the corner, dives over it and wipes out the Vision!
Bron Breakker comes outta nowhere and tries to spear Ford, but Dawkins intercepts him and sends him over the commentary table! Ford goes up top and hits a Frog Splash from the heavens! Ford covers! Paul Heyman puts Theory's foot on the bottom rope and the ref is forced to stop the count. Ford angrily stalks Heyman out of the ring and around it. Ford charges Heyman, using the steps to launch up into the air--and right into a brass-knuckle-sandwich from Logan Paul on the outside! Dawkins attacks Paul on the outside; this allows Theory to capitalize and cover the downed Ford in the ring, picking up the win at 10:08pm!
Your Winners AND STILL World Tag Team Champions, the Vision! (17 minutes)
After the Match
The Vision--Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Bron Breakker & Paul Heyman--celebrate up the ramp and commentary sends us off--but Breakker's not done! He suddenly charges the ring and hits a vicious spear on Dawkins. He posts up in the corner and hits a spear on Montez Ford! Massive boos as the Vision reposition to the ring, holding arms up together, titles hoisted high, and we fade to black.
