-- Long-time WWE performer and NXT authority figure William Regal could be back on TV very soon. A report from fightfulselect.com reports that sources within NXT have noted that Regal's return to an on-camera role has been discussed and while not explicitly stated in this report, it is believed he could be back as early as tonight's episode.
-- Regal was let go from WWE in early 2022 after over a two-decade stint with the company and ended up joining AEW in March where he lasted nine months. At the end of 2022, Regal requested that AEW not renew his contract so that he could go back to WWE to work with his son, who had made his debut for NXT in the meantime. Since returning to WWE in early 2023, Regal was essentially under a non-compete TV clause which prevented him from appearing on camera for WWE, and that clause has now been satisfied.
