"The Biggest Party of the Summer" is bigger than usual this year.
That is, if ticket sales are any indication.
WWE has already sold 32,000 for their annual WWE SummerSlam premium live event, which takes place from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on August 5, 2023.
“We made history today," Michael Cole said of record ticket sales for the event. "This is the 36th annual SummerSlam and never before have we sold as many tickets in one day for this event as we sold today for Detroit.”
According to the Sports Business Journal, SummerSlam had the most day-one ticket sales of any WWE event staged in a stadium, except WrestleMania.
