WWE conducted a significant tryout session this past August during SummerSlam weekend, where approximately 55 prospective candidates participated. This group included indie wrestlers, athletes from various sports, models, and others.
According to PWInsider.com, at least two athletes from the tryouts have been signed by WWE to join the NXT/Performance Center system. One of these individuals is Jessica Bogdanov, who was previously reported to have attended the tryouts. Bogdanov is a former calisthenics world champion and gymnast, and she also works as a professional pole dancer and hand balancer. Additionally, her Instagram showcases her impressive physical flexibility.
The report also mentions Cyrus Habibi-Likio, a former Oregon Ducks running back, who has been signed as well. Habibi-Likio has a unique family background; his maternal grandfather was Iran’s former head military surgeon, and on his paternal side, he is related to Tongan immigrants. WWE was attracted to him not only for his athletic experience but also for his social media presence, as he documented his journey to the tryouts through vlogs. Habibi-Likio describes himself as both a content creator and a professional athlete, as well as a disciple of Christ and a house-flipper.
