-- One of WWE's lead writers on Smackdown, Chris DeJoseph, was let go by the company according to multiple sources. DeJoseph's departure was said to be "sudden" as per PWInsider as we was actually at WWE's recent TV tapings that were held earlier this week and also received a promotion of some sorts within the week as well. The exact reason for his immediate and sudden release is not known, but it was not related to any COVID-19 cutbacks that WWE has been conducting over the last several weeks.
-- DeJoseph first worked for WWE between 2004 and 2010 as a senior writer and producer but left the company to pursue other activities, including working for CBS and FOX. He then started with MLW as an executive producer but received an offer from WWE in late 2019 and left MLW after only a month, though it was said to be on good terms.
