WWE Smackdown Notes: Michael Hayes Back, Jade Cargill Injury Note, Kevin Owens, more

SmackDown

-- The following are news and notes from this past week's WWE Friday Night Smackdown:

  • Michael Hayes, who has been absent from WWE TV events for several weeks, was back on in his usual role at Friday's show. Fightfulselect.com reported that he had a "heavy assignment list" on his first day back on the job, producing all the Bloodline segments on both sets of shows (the live show plus the show to air next week).
  • The match results for next week's Smackdown are already available, however, additional segments were filmed that didn't air in front of the live audience and will be inserted into the show when it goes into production next Friday.
  • Jade Cargill was removed from the Survivor Series WarGames match as WWE noted an injury. It is believed that Cargill is dealing with a legitimate injury though it's unclear what the exact details or seriousness of it are.
  • Fightfulselect.com reported that Kevin Owens' promo generated a significant buzz backstage and internally within WWE.
  • Michael Kirshenbaum and Colin Clark wrote the opening and closing Bloodline segments.
