WWE Smackdown Powers to Best Audience Since 2020; Easily Tops Ratings Chart

-- Perhaps fueled by the "White Rabbit" teasers, WWE Friday Night Smackdown last week was a massive success viewership wise with numbers released by ShowBuzzDaily showing that the show averaged 2.535 million viewers, up almost 15% from last week and an improvement of almost 20% year-over-year. It was the most watched episode of Smackdown since December 2020, which featured an NFL lead-in and if you discount that, you have to go back all the way to March 2020 to find a higher audience. Among broadcast network shows, Smackdown finished fourth, which is higher than normal and especially strong given that the other networks are all back to first-run programming.

-- In the 18-49 demographic, Smackdown generated a 0.63 rating to finish first on the night by far (both cable and broadcast) and a 25%+ increase week-over-week. It is the second best rating in that key demo all year, trailing only the episode before the Royal Rumble.
