WWE Smackdown Viewership Up Following Promised 'Shakeup'

-- Tuesday's WWE Smackdown Live was well up in viewership numbers, generating an audience of 2.214 million - up from the last two weeks each of which dipped below 2 million. Week-over-week, Smackdown was up 15% following the same pattern as Raw the night before (which was up 16% week-over-week). No doubt this was due to a combination of the fallout from TLC as well as the McMahon family announcing a 'shakeup' for both shows. Year-over-year though, Smackdown is still well down as the show was watched by over 2.5 million people at the same time in 2017.

-- On the night, Smackdown was #6 on cable - well above previous weeks - and it also returned to the top spot in the 18-49 demographic, which is often more important than overall viewership.
