Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap! After the most recent episode of Friday Night Smackdown came to an end, WWE taped another episode of Talking Smack, which you can watch now on the WWE Network. Talking Smack is hosted by Kayla Braxton, and her co-host, Paul Heyman. The guest on the show will be Edge. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, it’s time to talk some smack!
Talking Smack
Kayla reminds everyone it’s day one of WrestleMania, and introduces Paul Heyman. Paul congratulates Jey Uso on winning the Battle Royal, and tries to welcome on Edge, but the show heads to an ad break. On the other side of the commercial, Paul welcomes on the first guest... Edge. Kayla tells Paul “not yet”, and they talk about the women’s gauntlet match. Heyman quickly talks through it, and welcomes on his guest at this time, Edge. Kayla wants Paul to cover Rollins vs Cesaro, and Heyman tells her about “The Tribal Chief”, and how the winner of the match may face Roman down the line. Kayla threatens to drag out the arrival of “The Rated-R Superstar”, but brings on the first guest, forreal this time, Edge.

“The Rated-R Superstar” joins the show, and Heyman looks bothered. Edge tells Kayla hello, and it feels intense now. Heyman congratulates Edge on achieving his dream, and then runs him down for being taken out of the Rumble match by Reigns last year. Heyman says “with all the odds against you, your dream prevailed” at this years Royal Rumble. Heyman offers Edge “respect and admiration, for what you have accomplished”. Edge responds, and tells Paul he is “living dangerously”. Edge says “I get it, what you’re doing. I can appreciate you being his hype man”. Edge continues, and tells Paul “I obliterate tables”. Edge recaps previous comments Heyman has made about him, and adds “we have similar stories. We are cut from the same cloth”. Edge covers each of their unique stories of breaking into the industry, and how both snuck into events as kids. Edge gets emotional, and tells Paul “you of all people know what I’m about. The Smackdown six happened because you had faith in me”. Edge finishes his statement to Paul by saying “do you really think I have fear? I have fought to get back here. I appreciate you, and understand what you’re doing, but I’ll never agree with you, and deep down I don’t think you do either”.
The show heads to a commercial break after that, and when Talking Smack returns, Edge is still at the table.

Paul talks about “knowing” Edge, and tells him “I know nothing will stop you, and that’s what scares me”. Heyman tells Edge “no one could write your story”. Heyman continues, and talks about text messages Edge must have received when he retired. Heyman reveals his words for Edge, where he congratulated him setting up his comeback. Heyman initially thought Edge was mad at him for going there, but the response he got revealed “you would live out your dream of main eventing Wrestlemania, and we all get to share it with you”. Heyman hypes Edge heading into the match,and hearing his name announced, but that’s “when reality will bitch slap you in the face, and that’s when you’ll realize Roman Reigns is across from you”. Paul tells Edge “I know if there is a breathe left in your body, nothing will stop you from becoming Champion tomorrow”. Paul and his lengthy pep-talk comes to an end with Heyman telling Edge “he is gonna put a beating on you so bad. Do you understand what he is capable of! He’s at his best, he’s merciless. He’s gonna take the feeling you get when you hug your kids away from you”. Paul warms Edge “it’s not worth it”, and hugs him, before saying “I’m so sorry for what Roman Reigns is going to do to you tomorrow night. I’m sorry it has to end this way for you. I wish I could stop it”. Edge finally gets a chance to talk, and returns the hug. Edge warns Paul about what he’s capable of himself, and says “what do you think I will do, and what depths do you think I will find when I’m in the main event of WrestleMania” Edge finishes by saying “I’m not normal, and you know that. I will see you all tomorrow, and I will take back what is mine”. Edge leaves, and the show fades to black.
