Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap! After Friday Night Smackdown came to an end, WWE taped another episode of Talking Smack, which is hosted by Kayla Braxton, and her co-host, Paul Heyman. The guests on today’s edition of the show will be Cesaro, Bayley, and Sami Zayn. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, it’s time to talk some smack!
Talking Smack (4/24/21)
Kayla welcomes all of the viewers back to the ThunderDome, and she’s amazed that Wrestlemania has already been two weeks ago. Paul Heyman chimes in, and he complains, before saying he’s been thinking about Kayla “all week long”... Kayla quickly moves on, and recaps a few of the highlights from Smackdown, as Heyman continuously try’s to talk over her. Kayla runs down the list of today’s guests, and brings on the first superstar of the day, Cesaro.
Cesaro
Cesaro approaches the desk, and has a brief staredown with Paul Heyman. Heyman asks Cesaro to be professional, and explains “I’ve always liked you. I worked with you, and I got the better of the deal, it’s just business”. Paul explains who Roman Reigns is, and goes down the list of people Cesaro should talk to if he wants to address Roman. Heyman adds “in Romans opinion, the words that come out of your mouth are not worthy of his ears”. Cesaro stops Heyman, and he’s a bit stoic at first. Heyman stares back in fear, and Cesaro pats Heyman on the hand, before walking away.
⁃ Cesaro exits the show, and its time for a Peacock Plug.
When Talking Smack returns from the break, Heyman looks dejected. Paul says Cesaro is “arrogant”, and begins to rant. Heyman tells Cesaro “I’ll make this real personal for you. When I offend you, you sell it!”
Bayley
Once Heyman briefly stops ranting, Kayla welcomes on Bayley, who will face Bianca Belair at ‘Wrestlemania Backlash’. Heyman tells Bayley “I’m sorry for Cesaro’s unprofessional actions”, and Kayla stops him from talking so much. Bayley begins to talk about what happened on Smackdown, and Kayla congratulates her on the opportunity she received. Bayley tells her “I’m the longest reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion in history, and Bianca Belair got lucky. Her honeymoon phase is done for.” Heyman looks on in admiration, and Kayla wants to know if Bayley believed Bianca would beat Banks. Bayley explains “I didn’t really know. I have defended all of my titles at WrestleMania, I’ve done it all. I’m here to crash her freaking party.” Paul finally chimes in, and tells Kayla she should get a tattoo that says “Bayley envy”. Kayla covers Bianca’s recent success, and Bayley scoffs at her. Bayley adds “I have some respect for you Bianca. I’ve been in the ring with you, I know everything about you, but it doesn’t scare me. What you have done doesn’t compare to what I have done. You’ve got a long way to go sister, and you’re not going through me”.
⁃ Once Bayley makes her way off set, segments are announced for next Mondays Raw.
Sami Zayn
Once the show returns from a few quick plugs, “The Great Liberator” Sami Zayn is already at the desk. Sami begins by talking about conspiracy theories, and says he’s experiencing a “conspiracy”. Sami says “when you call me a conspiracy theorist, it’s very WWE. It’s a term for people who try to marginalize me”. Sami continues, and explains “you’re really calling me a crazy crack pot, so let’s not call me a conspiracy theorist.” Kayla begins to talk about dancing, and clips of Sami busting a move are shown. Sami tells Kayla “the joy that came from my soul when I saw Kevin Owens get hit with the Nigerian nail... that fueled my soul. I was elated!” Sami adds “I am dance. I am the spirit of dance”. Heyman begs Zayn to dance, and he absolutely will not do it. Heyman oddly asks for Sami to hug him, and after a brief pause... they don’t do it. Kayla begins to send Sami away, but he hugs Paul, and tells him “I needed that”. Kayla looks on in confusion, and moves on to the next guest.
⁃ A advertisement is aired for Wrestlemania 38, which goes down in Jerry World.
Paul Heyman
On the flip side of the ad break, Kayla announces that Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan, during next week’s Smackdown. Kayla covers the added stipulation, and Paul takes the floor. Heyman pauses, and sighs. Paul begins by talking about Reigns “dominance” at WrestleMania, and he says “that’s what he will do to Daniel Bryan”. Heyman goes on to say he “assures you Roman will win”, and Bryan will be “banished from Smackdown”. Heyman continues, and says Reigns “will impose his will on Daniel Bryan, and if you’re a fan of his, then I encourage you to watch next week, because it’s the last chance you will get to see him in action”. Heyman finishes by saying next week “I guarantee you will witness the greatness of the most dominant Champion in WWE history... you will experience Roman Reigns”.
That’s all for this weeks Talking Smack Recap! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day everyone!
